FAN CAST: West Coast Avengers

Here are my choices for the every member of the spin-off Avengers team based in LA and led by Hawkeye!

The team is founded by the Avenger Hawkeye in response to a suggestion by fellow Avenger the Vision, who at the time wished to expand Avengers influence. Hawkeye recruits Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Iron Man, with the last actually being Jim Rhodes as opposed to Tony Stark, a fact initially unknown to the team. The team take on Henry Pym as a scientific advisor and compound manager and battle a range of both old foes and new. Firebird, Moon Knight, Darkhawk and the original Human Torch all join the team at some point until Mockingbird's death resulting in constant in-fighting and a general lack of organization until Captain America intervenes and disbands the team.

When we finally get The Avengers movie in 2012, the potential to expand the Marvel movie universe will have only just begun! With the recent news that Hawkeye will more than likely appear in The Avengers, it got me thinking...how about a spin off with Clint Barton leading his own team? Here are my choices for The West Coast Avengers!

OZY: Thanks! But that's the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond from WWII who worked with the team for a short while! I'll alter the cast to make that a little bit clearer because I agree 110%...Chris Evans is the best choice for the (modern) Human Torch! :)

great picks, man. I'd personally use Yvonne Strahovski as Mockingbird, but great to see most of my other picks up there

especially CHRIS PINE who is the living embodiment of Hawkeye.

BartonIsHawkeye88: Thanks man! I've wanted Pine for Hawkeye for a long time as well! I was considering Biel for a few roles including Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter) but had completely forgotten until you mentioned it yesterday which inspired me to do this fan cast so thanks, lol! :D

Glad you on the VANDERVOORT wagon dude she'd own MOCKINGBIRD!!

Well i'll never see PINE as HAWKEYE but you know that lol, just see CAPTAIN KIRK through an through!

only reason a lot of ppl are wanting him is becoz its the same ppl wanting Ackles for CAP. But saying that id take Pine over Renner dude any day, PINE might become my second choice, your brain washing me dude lol! But as for Renner, that guy looks like a HOBBIT lol!

PYM hell yeah!!! An like the others too, but aint that guy a lil old for DARK HAWK? But he looks good for a older version of him man, looks cool!

DAMON i have a problem with full stop, its like casting JOSH HARNET lol!!

But all in all man good stuff, i like ya WESTSIDE AVENGERS!

LEE: Thanks for your comment bud! I have you to thank completely for the Laura Vandervoort choice - thats the best casting choice you've ever made man!!! Renner isnt the worst choice I've heard for Hawkeye but if Ackles isnt Cap then he's my second choice for Hawkeye after Chris Pine! The guy I chose for Darkhawk does look too old in that picture but he actually looks pretty young in 'Cougar Town' (the show he stars in at the moment on ABC) - its just hard to find any decent pictures of the guy, lol! I'm a big fan of Damon's so I've got to disagree with you on thAt one though! :D

Excellent cast Josh@!

Josh Hopkins does look much younger than that
pic you used. He would make an excellent Darkhawk!

Pine is perfect for Hawkeye but it looks like
Marvel is looking in a different direction for
Hawkeye, looks like they're looking for a lesser
known actor to play him!

Pine would also be good for Cap America! He is
definitely captain material!

DDD: Thanks! I think that you're probably right about what Marvel are planning with Hawkeye. However, Im just not sure about Pine as Cap...I can easily imagine him as the current Captain America (Bucky) but I just cant imagine him as Steve...Hawkeye though? Definitely! :D

Im glad you like the Darkhawk pick - Hopkins along with the other hilarious male actors are the only reason I watch Cougar Town, lol! (that and the fact that the guy who created Scrubs makes the show!)

JOSH @ buddy coool! I still dont know who the guy is as DARKHAWK NVA seen him b4 but look good!! I picked a kid for mine, [frick] cant even remember who it was lol???! : D
And JOSH, im not saying RENNERS the worst choice, just looks nothing like CLINT that all, not that thats the actors fault lol!

Id rather him him, than GG, coz my all time favorite DC character BRADLEY COOPER is GUY GARDNER!!! Hell yeah!

I agree with most of them but Ackles is the spitting image of Hawkeye, Chris Pine is my 3rd Hawkeye pic...the rest are awesome, good job
