FAN CAST: Dark X-Men

These are my choices for who I'd like to see portray the big screen versions of the newest mutant team, the Dark X-Men!

The team made their debut during the crossover between Marvel's Dark Avengers and Uncanny X-Men written by Matt Fraction, as part of the broader Dark Reign storyline. Each member but Namor was handpicked by H.A.M.M.E.R. leader, Norman Osborn for his own criminal agenda.

CURRENT MEMBERS

Charlize Theron as Mystique

DXMystique


Although Rebecca Romijn was great in the role, I think that Theron would also be a great choice for Mystique - especially this current comic book version.

Hugh Laurie as Dark Beast

DXBeast

He wouldnt be right for the regular version of the character but I think that Laurie is the perfect choice for the dark, twisted and insane Beast!

Matthew Goode as Guardian (Michael Pointer)

DXPointer

Best known for playing Ozymandias in 'Watchmen' I think that Goode is a great choice for this character as he'd be great at portraying Guardian's unstable and neurotic personality!

Jason Lee as Mimic

DXMimic

I know this might seem an odd choice to some but I think that Lee is an excellent actor and I think he'd be great at portraying the slightly unhinged mutant!

FORMER MEMBERS

Ali Larter as Emma Frost

DXEmma

Though I think she'd make a great (Dark) Ms. Marvel, I also think she's perfect for this, or any other version, of Emma Frost. I think that Larter has both the right looks and acting skills to make a great big-screen Emma Frost!

Jason Behr as Namor

DANamor

Although I'm not that familiar with him as an actor, wha I have seen of Behr has been good and I dont think he'd have any trouble pulling off a great Namor!

Zachary Quinto as Daken

I know that Quinto isnt the right nationality (Daken is partly Asian) but i still think he's a good choice for the role! He has the right air of arrogance about him and his role in Heroes has shown what a great villainous character he can play!

Lee Thompson Young as Cloak

A brilliant actor who many here will know from 'Smallville' and 'FlashForward' and I for one think he's a brilliant actor! Personally, I think he's really well suited to this part!

Amy Smart as Dagger

I think that Smart is a great actress and perfect in both looks and acting skill for this role!

I think Behr would make a great Namor.
Lee can play a nutjob like Mimic.

I have a spreadsheet about 50% done for Marvel universe. I'll keep you posted

OZY: Thanks! I'm back with Marvel for now (you're right though, it is where I belong lol!) but I am planning on a Batman 3 cast as well as a few other Batman casts based on some of the characters most famous story arcs! For now though, I'm working on a few more Marvel projects! Although the whole Fan-Castic Four thing will take up a lot of time in the New Year, I'm hoping to get to cast #50 A.S.A.P as I have something pretty HUGE planned!!!

DDD has a huge A-Z list so as long as TYLER and LEE are ok with it, we're thinking of doing an A-Z guide to the Marvel Universe instead as a chronological list is very time consuming and will just delay the start date of this whole thing!

I'm half-way through typing my enormous A-Z images
into a word document Lee@, Josh@. As soon as I get it

Man, this collection of images I have is exhaustive and
is exhausting me typing them into a list! 'Phew'! lol

If anyone of us needs an image for the more obscure characters I got 'em!

Now, on this casting, the only one I don't favor is
ALI LARTER for EMMA FROST. Emma has big banonkers and
and Ali is not very well-endowed!

LEE: Cheers mate! So you think I should stick with Marvel from now on? Last night, I realised how you must have felt when we were all against you supporting Lewis for Cap or whatever, lol! Despite that, I'm sticking with Worthington for Superman! :)

DDD: Great work bud! If you like, I'll divide up them up into the groups of 62 or whatever its going to be - you've done enough work putting the list together so I'm happy to do that job!!

Glad you like the cast though - I know that Larter isnt exactly the right, ahem, build for Emma but I think she has the perfect look and personality for the character! I think thats more important than boob size, lol! ;D

the personality to play Emma! I
personally like her as an actress!

be great! I've got A, B&C & D&E documents
done! I put them on seperate, smaller
word documents so they are more easy to
use.

I'll send you what I've got so far and
maybe one of us can start on the first 62
or 63 after you break them down. I would
say that some of the really obscure
characters could be by-passed! There is a

Hey, im watching some cool sh1t at the mo on TV with RDJ being interview about SHERLOCK & IRON MAN 2, pity i don't know how to stick it in a video on youtube or something, of well lol, its good sh1t though!!

Hey, i dunno, its up to you if you wanna do any more DC?? Personally if i don't care for the characters i would'nt do them myself, hence i ain't done MANGA castings, i like MANGA but not big on most of it lol. I'm actually surprised you've done barely any video game movies at all, i was thinking about doing a HALO or HAZE myself, or even a rebooted RE, but theres endless castings for that stuff!! Still theres sh1t loads of MARVEL castings you ain't done. Hey i was thinking about doing a BLACK PANTHER casting but as you an DDD done such amazing one's, both amazing in their own right, i thought [frick] it, thats one ive been saved of doing lol, well only coz i knew i couldn't top 'em heh heh!

Hey man, what do you think about a HOWARD THE DUCK reboot??

DDD: Great man! I'll get to work at splitting them into groups ASAP! And hey, as a big boob fan myself I get where you're coming from, lol! Maybe some CGI could be used to, ahem, enhance certain attributes on Larter! ;D

LEE: Sherlock Holmes has been getting pretty negative reviews here in the UK - apparently, the CGI in the movie is crap! :( I'll still go and see it though because I think it looks pretty good!

If I do any more DC, its only going to be a Batman 3 cast and maybe a few more casts based on The Death of Superman, The Red Hood story arc and maybe the Hush arc as well! Other than that, I'm currently working on an Incredible Hulk 2 cast which should be up sometime tomorrow! What other Marvel casts could I do!? You should definitely do a Black Panther cast though man! :)

Good cast Josh, as usual.

The only one I don't really like is Laurie as Beast. I can totally see the performance, just not Laurie physically in the role.

Behr as Namor is one I think we all agree on (me, Lee, you, not sure on DDD tho) so I think we should use him in the Fan-Castic 4 thing.

I prefer Larter as Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel, but she'd make a decent EF too.

lc: What did you cast? Whenever I struggle to cast someone, I just look at my favourite TV shows (which is why when I was starting out most of my casts were filled with actors from Prison Break, lol!)

TYLER: Thanks bud! :) For Laurie to work as Dark Beast, I think the character would need to be CGI using only his likeness and voice - it probably wouldnt work if they did it in the style of X-Men 3's Beast! Im fine with Behr as Namor so as long as the other two agree, I'm happy with that! And I too prefer Larter as the Dark Ms. Marvel (in fact I even cast her as that character a little while back) but as you said she'd make a decent Emma!

Anyway, I'm off to finish my Incredible Hulk 2 fan cast so keep an eye out for it tomorrow guys! :)

casting is totally good for me! Behr was the first
one I thought for Namor and I cast him as Namor in
one of my fancasts. I'm torn between Behr and John
Rhys Meyers but I tend towards Behr right now! He
was awesome in Skinwalkers as the leader of the
werewolves. So I think we got Namor cast!

awesome cast man, especially Dark Beast, Mimic, Cloak and Dagger
Laurie is great and could pull of the offset intelligence of Dark Beast and the tinge of insanity that comes along with it
Lee is one of my favorite actors (see Mallrats and Chasing Amy) and I think its the first time ive seen him cast in a CBM, nice!
Cloak and Dagger, perfect cast. Look like the same age and both are great actors. Smart is uber sexy (See Road Trip)

btw noone take Agents of Atlas cast lol Im almost done but need some more pics of characters that are harder to come by (like Lao), I think you'll all enjoy :D
