Other teams are founded, but Excalibur was forged. The machinations of Omniversal guardian Roma, following a plan prepared by her late father Merlyn, brought together X-Men Nightcrawler and Shadowcat, who were recovering from injuries on Muir Island, with British heroes Captain Britain and Meggan.
A new team was briefly formed when the computer Mastermind was reprogrammed by Kang and attacked Otherworld; disguised as Roma and at the head of an army of Warpies, Mastermind slaughtered the Corps, imprisoned the real Roma, and took over the realm. With many of the Corps dead, Captain U.K. fled to Earth-616 and enlisted the aid of Brian Braddock, Meggan, Psylocke, and the Black Knight.
Brian and Meggan later returned to Earth-616 to prevent a reality storm engulfing that dimension from spreading across the multiverse. In the wake of this incident, during which Meggan was apparently lost, a new Excalibur has been formed, with Brian joined by old teammate Pete Wisdom and new allies Juggernaut (his former foe), Dazzler, Sage, and former Exile Nocturne.
Michael Fassbender as Captain Britain
He is the defender of Great Britain and the Multiverse. A hero to millions chosen by the wizard Merlyn. He is currently working in tandem with MI: 13.
Kelly Reilly as Meggan
Meggan is an empathic metamorph. She is a founding member of Excalibur & the wife of Brian Braddock aka Captain Britain.
Zachary Levi as Nightcrawler
Kurt Wagner is a current X-man and the former leader of Excalibur. He has physical mutations including blue fur and a prehensile tail, teleportation, shadow melding and wall crawling abilities. He is a devout Catholic, a trained acrobat and a skilled swordsman.
Emily Blunt as Phoenix
Rachel Summers is the daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey from an alternate reality. Rachel is the third Phoenix but now goes by the name Marvel Girl.
Alexander Skarsgard as Colossus
Piotr Rasputin is a Russian mutant who possesses the ability to transform his entire body into organic steel, granting him tremendous strength and durability.
Olivia Wilde as Shadowcat
Kitty Pryde is a mutant who has the ability to phase through solid materials, and render other intangible. She also became the poster child of the X-Men through the years, as well as an instructor at Xavier's institute.
CGI as Lockheed
Lockheed is a purple, winged, quadrupedal alien that resembles a small dragon. He is the longtime companion of Kitty Pryde with whom he shares a special bond.
Kerry Bishe as Dazzler
Alison Blaire is a singer and a mutant, a performer who can change sound to light, which has thrown her into the life of a superhero against her will.
Jason Statham as Juggernaut
Cain Marko, also known as the Unstoppable Juggernaut, has been a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and of the X-men. He is the step-brother of X-men founder Charles Xavier, powered by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak which grants him great near unlimited durability and strength.
Michelle Ryan as Nocturne
Nocturne is the daughter of Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch from an alternate reality. Originally a member of the X-Men in her reality, she later joined the Exiles and New Excalibur.
Carla Gugino as Sage
Sage is a mutant with the capability of remembering huge amounts of information and retrieving them much like a computer.
Jack Davenport as Pete Wisdom
Pete Wisdom was an agent for the British government organization Black Air, a group that conducted research and investigation of supernatural phenomena. He is now director of MI: 13, the department of the UK government that handles supernatural threats.
Gemma Arterton as Captain UK
The Earth-238 counterpart to Earth-616's Captain Britain.
Rupert Penry-Jones as Black Knight
Several heroes and villains has been known as Black Knight, the current being Dane Whitman.
Kelly Hu as Psylocke
Psylocke is a mutant with vast psionic powers and a recurrent member of the X-Men. Psylocke was originally a Marvel U.K. character for a 10 year run before joining the American Marvel cast.
