"I think a month ago I saw something pop up on Google Alerts that said, 'David Henrie Might be the Next Spider-Man' and it’s been spreading around ever since," the 20-year-old told OK! Magazine in Hollywood, "I am just happy to read it."

"I am very blessed that the rumor is even going around and I am very happy about it! That would be a dream role for me."

Henrie however realizes that it will take a lot of work to fill former Peter Parker, Tobey Maguire's shoes, "I love Tobey and I have been watching him forever so I would do whatever it takes to follow him in the role."

When asked how he'd prepare for a role in Spider-Man should the opportunity present itself he said, "Well I have been involved in martial arts for my whole life and I am very acrobatic, active, and athletic so I would continue to do a lot more of what I have been doing with mixed martial arts."

I've never seen the guy act so I really cant comment on whether he'd be any good! However, unlike a lot of the actors who have so far showed interest in playing Spider-Man, he does have a fair bit of acting experience..!

He definitely doesnt look right for the part though...I know they're going for a younger Peter but I just cant imagine this guy in the costume!

There's no fighting it, this reboot has been fated to fail and give comic book movie fans post traumatic stress disorder...this reboot will make us all long for the days of Spiderman 3!

trust me dudes,coming from a comic book dudett, david henrie would be freaken great as peter parker! he didnt get his start on disney u dummies hes been acting on a ton of drama tv since he was a kid.i think most u guys dont even know who he is and are stuck on the same old bs instead of being openminded. or ur jealous cuz hes hot and ur not!

the fact he knows martial arts and is acrobatic is meaningless. Due to the wonders of editing anyone can have the appearance of a physical Lord.

We just need a decent actor for the role, now someone who will try to take it over - so an actor not a personality
