Although there would need to be a few tweaks to make this story work in the next Iron Man movie, I've (for the most part) based this cast off of the comic book. If you're not familiar with the story, just click HERE! I have included some small bits of information on how some of the characters fit into the story though for anyone who is wondering what the hell Leap-Frog is doing in this cast, lol!
Robert Downey Jr. As Tony Stark/Iron Man
Tony Stark, after being gravely injured and forced to build a devastating weapon, created a powerful suit of armour to free himself and protect the world as the Invincible Iron Man.
ALLIES
Annie Wersching as Bethany Cabe
After meeting at a party, she became romantically involved with Stark. Her love, support and friendship were instrumental in helping Stark to overcome his alcoholism.
Don Cheadle as War Machine
War Machine is a heavier-armed version of Iron Man. The "Variable Threat Response Battle Suit" is often worn by James Rhodes. As often said... "it handles like a tractor".
Stark meets with the Avengers and agrees to their request that Iron Man temporarily step down as their leader as his alcoholism worsens. He asks for and receives hand-to-hand fight training from Captain America. He then meets with Scott Lang, the second Ant-Man, and asks him to sneak into the prison where Whiplash is being held to get information on Justin Hammer.
Ryan McPartlin as Captain America
Injected with an experimental super-soldier serum during World War II, frail Steve Rogers became the exemplar of human physical perfection: Captain America.
Peter Krause as Ant-Man (Scott Lang)
Scott Lang is the second Ant-Man. He is a member of the Avengers, and a short lived member of the Fantastic Four.
David Suchet as Jarvis
Butler to the Stark family, Jarvis went on to be the caretaker of the Avengers mansion and has laid his life on the line for them several times.
ENEMIES
A military tank hurled by Namor the Sub-Mariner through the air strikes the wing of a passenger plane carrying Tony Stark. Iron Man confronts and fights Namor, before it's revealed that the soldiers actually belong to the Roxxon Oil Corporation so the two team up to fight and defeat the soldiers.
Jason Behr as Namor the Sub-Mariner
Namor is the hybrid king of Atlantis. Both hero and sometimes aggressor to the surface world, Namor is strongest when in water and progressively weaker when outside of it.
Stark is visiting a casino with Bethany Cabe when Blizzard, Melter, and Whiplash arrive and attempt to rob the casino's vault. Stark slips away, dons his armor, and battles and defeats the villains. During the fight, he overhears a comment from Blizzard about "Hammer" wanting Iron Man kept alive.
Ewan Mcgregor as Blizzard
Blizzard is a long time enemy of Iron Man. He later turned over a new leaf and joined the Thunderbolts for redemption.
Wade Williams as Melter
Bruno Horgan is a former competitor of Anthony Stark. He became the Melter and is one Iron Man's deadliest foes.
Mickey Rourke as Whiplash
He desired a life of luxury and so became a professional criminal. With a costume and a sophisticated metal whip of his own design, he became Whiplash, an assassin for the criminal organization the Maggia.
After Stark is taken prisoner by Justin Hammer (the stories main villain) he eventually manages to escape when he attacks a guard. Hammer learns of Stark's escape and orders the supervillains employs (including Constrictor, Beetle, Man-Killer, Water Wizard, Discus, Stiletto, Porcupine, and Leap-Frog) to find him.
The supervillains find Stark, who has found his armor and suited up. Iron Man battles and defeats the villains, then goes after Hammer.
Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer
A long time foe of Iron Man who as a criminal mastermind employed super-villains and organized criminal operations.
Mark Pellegrino as Constrictor
A former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent sent undercover, Constrictor soon became what he was trying to stop.
Jesse Spencer as Beetle
Abner Jenkins was a mechanic at an aircraft parts factory. He became bored of his low paying job and decided to build a super suit. He used it for fame, wealth, and adventure.
Mini Anden as Man-Killer
She really, really hates men. At first used an exoskeleton, but at some point gained super-strength.
Stephen Moyer as Water Wizard/Aqueduct
After an experimental device that was keeping him alive was struck by lightening, he was rejuvenated and had the power to manipulate water.
Brian Geraghty as Discus
Discus is a mercenary for hire who normally works with his brother Stiletto and they have come into conflict with numerous heroes including Iron Man.
Alexander Skarsgard as Stiletto
He became a costumed mercenary after his father lost his job as a prison warden because of Luke Cage’s escape. He is known as Stiletto for his use various blades and daggers.
Brian Blessed as Porcupine
He was originally a scientist who worked as a weapons designer for the US Army. He conceived the idea of designing a battle-suit in imitation of a porcupine.
Dean Cain as Leap-Frog
Tired of his lack of success as an he designed himself electrically-powered coils that could be used for leaping great distances and incorporated them into a frog-like costume.
