JoshW: Ok, so first off I obviously wouldnt want ALL of these characters to appear in the sequel to The Dark Knight! However, characters like Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson and Hush could all easily be introduced in Batman 3 setting them up for full blown appearences in the next trilogy should they decide to continue after the third. Even if they dont, I still think that the majority of my choices would be suitable for a non-Nolan Batman film! Anyway, on with the fan cast! :)
Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
After witnessing his parent's murder, Bruce Wayne devoted his life to standing against crime and injustice. He trained himself to surpass human physical and mental limitations, mastering combat, deduction, and the use of technology. Using his fear as a symbol, he became the Batman: arguably the world's greatest crime fighter.
ALLIES
Penn Badgley as Dick Grayson/Robin
Batman's first partner, Dick Grayson has matured into an expert crime fighter in his own right. He is a founding member of the Teen Titans and has also lead the Outsiders and even the JLA.
Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth
Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's (Batman's) Butler. He is one of the very few people who know that Batman is Bruce Wayne.
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Jim Gordon was the first supporter of Batman in the Gotham PD. When he feels Batman's aid is needed on a case, he turns on the Bat signal mounted on the PD roof.
Emily Blunt as Barbara Gordon/Oracle
Barbara Gordon was the second Batgirl. After being shot in the spine by the Joker in an attempt to make her father, Commissioner Gordon, go crazy, she reinvented herself as Oracle, cyber-genius of the Suicide Squad and leader of the Birds of Prey.
Carla Gugino as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Selina Kyle is the Catwoman, a mostly reformed cat burglar with an on-again, off-again, romantic relationship with the Batman, who she now knows is Bruce Wayne. She is shown as strong willed, independent and a little temperamental.
Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman
Superman is one of the few surviving Kryptonians that resides on Earth as Clark Kent, Reporter for the Daily Planet, while protecting the city of Metropolis.
ENEMIES
James Franco as The Joker
The man known only as The Joker is Batman's greatest enemy. He is chaos in a three piece, a force of nature bent on proving one simple thing; everything burns. Arkham doctors believe he is not truly insane, but is gifted with some kind of heightened sanity.
Billie Piper as Harley Quinn
Harleen Quinzel, the Arkham psychiatrist who fell in love with the Clown Prince of Crime. A "mad love" would lead her to a life of crime as Harley Quinn, frequent accomplice and would-be-girlfriend of the Joker.
Johnny Depp as The Riddler
The Riddler, crowned king of conundrums and a criminal mastermind, had once plagued the Dark Knight of Gotham with his ingenious mind games.
Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin
Intelligent, rich and sophisticated; the Penguin is a distinctive villain in Batman's gallery of foes.
John Malkovich as Mr. Freeze
Mr. Freeze was originally called Mr. Zero and was intended to be a gimmick character. After appearing in Batman: the Animated Series, Mr. Freeze soon became a serious enemy for Batman.
Mark Strong as Black Mask
Roman Sionis, now Black Mask is a sadistic crime-king who now lords over almost all of Gotham's organized crime.
Guy Pierce as Deadshot
Deadshot is the greatest known mercenary in the world. He's known to never miss and always get the job done, but as of lately it appears he made be shifting to a more heroic side of the law.
Eva Green as Poison Ivy
One of Batman's greatest villains, her obsession and devotion to plant life are the means behind her life of crime and her movement to protect and preserve nature at any cost.
Javier Bardem as Bane
"The Man Who Broke the Bat, "He is more than just brawn but he is not always the villain either. He has recently joined the new Secret Six, where you see he has a strict code of honour and can be quite heroic.
Mickey Rourke as Killer Croc
Waylon Jones was born with a mutation giving him reptile skin, sharp claws and teeth. He was an undefeated boxer who soon retired and then became one of the most dangerous Batman's rogues.
Ben Foster as Mr. Zsas
Mr. Zsasz carves a tally mark in himself whenever he kills someone.
Kevin Tighe as Arnold Wesker/The Ventriloquist
A meek, quiet man, Arnold Wesker plans and executes his crimes through a dummy named Scarface, with the dress and persona of a 1920s gangster, complete with pinstripe suit, cigar, and Tommy gun.
Matthew Fox as Hush
Thomas Elliot is a renowned surgeon and childhood friend of Bruce Wayne's. A meticulous planner, Elliot resents the fact that Bruce's father inadvertently thwarted his plot to kill his parents.
