"Yes and no I suppose would be the answer," the director told MTV News when asked if he was getting ready to work on the follow up to The Dark Knight. "We know we're aiming for 2012. That's been talked about."

"We're just working on the script, really," he added. "My brother has been hard at work on it for quite some time. It's based on a story that myself and David Goyer have written."

"In a couple of weeks, I'll surface and figure out what I'm doing next and how I'm going to approach it."

Well he did say we'd hear something in a couple of weeks. Nolan really likes to focus on one project at a time, which is a good thing. After Inception is released I'm sure he'll dedicate himself to Batman.

you think they would just stay away from batman questions i mean he is to dedicated to inception right now he doesn't even talk about batman much they wont learn anything new. He doesn't want to make a rush job of a batman movie and we only need to wait a few months until he starts to dedicate himself to batman again

That little kid is Clint Howard, Ron Howard's brother. You'll find him riding his brother's coat tails in all of his movies.

Thanks guys! :) It's nice to at least hear something about this movie I guess! I'm hoping that as he starts doing more and more Inception interviews, he'll eventually let some new info slip!

tea: Lol, "sleazy" has always worked for me...well, that and chloroform of course. ;D

TABOO: Unfortunately not...I think the only thing we do know is that Nolan's not keen on doing the Joker again! In fact, apart from rumours, I'm pretty sure that the only "official" news released by WB about Batman 3 is the release date, lol!

1. A NEW BATSUIT..

THE ARMOR STARTS TO EVOLVE, ITS ALWAYS GOTTA BE THE BEST AND BRUCE WAYNE CAN AFFORD IT..
2. A NEW BATMOBILE..


THE TUMBLER GOT BLOWN UP IN DARKNIGHT, GIVING THE GO FOR NOT JUST MAKING A NEW ONE, BUT ONE THAT CAN WITHSTAND A ROCKET LAUNCHER..
3. NEW VEHICLES...

THE BATPOD CAME OUT OF LEFT FIELD FOR ME..WHAT ELSE WILL NOLAN COME UP WITH..BATWING ANYONE?..
4. A NEW BATCAVE...

DARKNIGHT- WE GOT A FAUX TRAILER WITH A SECRET ELEVATOR TO A WELL LIT BAT AREA OF OPERATIONS..IM THINKING MORE COMPUTER SCREENS, WEAPONS ROOM, TRAINING AREA, MORE COOL STUFF..

In addition to what you mentioned there is a very minor thing I crave to see on a Batman film. I noticed that in "The Dark Knight" they attempted to make a pupil-less Batman similar to the comics. While their attempt may seem cool I think the best effect to simulate this is simply with the contact lens. Imagine the imagery plus the raspy voice!

Also fix the Bat costume!
1) The Bat in the chest is an eyesore! They can reduced it size to a button or make it an functional or an accessory -- an extra batarang-- but do not break it into two!
2) And the cape should be more bat-like(a scallop-hem cape according to Wikipedia).

Also I'm really in favor of 48and2 suggestion for batwing --a B2 Stealth bomber.

im hoping the fighting is a little better. honestly hes a master martial artist and yet het gets hit by some clowns come on now. i'll admit the fighting in the dark knight was better, considering they used that spanish fighting style but i guess they had to tone it down cause that fighting style is really violent. i just want to see some badass moves. it probably is kind of hard to move in the bat suit but maybe they could have a stunt double doing the figthing like scott adkins! he did deadpool in wolverin origins.
