After three days of voting, you guys have chosen the actor you’d most like to see play Bruce Banner in The Avengers and future Hulk movies! I know that many of you are still desperate for Ed Norton to return to the role (which probably explains the incessant begging to include him on the poll!) but it’s not going to happen - he’s severed his connections with Marvel Studios and they’ve actively admitted that they’ll be announcing a new actor in the coming weeks. And here is the one you most wanted. It’s The A-Team and District 9 star...

You know, I admittedly don't care about this much, but I think that might be the right choice. Disheveled, whimpy, repressed, awkward scientist? I think he could pull it off.

But the main point is, less Banner, more Hulk, specially in Avengers.

Wow. I don't know why but I see a littke David Tennant in that picture of Shartlo.......interesting

But Shartlo is a good choice because he knows how to play "a guy everyone is after because he's turning into a monster" correctly

HA! I hadn't really though about that monster on the run parallel from District 9! Probable because Bruce Banner is a genius and basically a nice guy and his character was a idiot and a jerk. Not to say that wasn't a fantastic movie. It was one of the best in years!

Could definitely be a great choice, as would Davies. But I'm also confident that the front runner, mark Ruffalo, would do a great job. Wait and see!

Sharlto would be great - He was awesome in District 9. Also, he's not really a big-name actor yet, so Marvel would probably get him cheaper than Ruffalo... Bottom line and fans have spoken!

Shartlo fits the part very well but I still like

A pretty perfect result IMO! Both Copley and Davies would be ideal for this role and I'm hoping Marvel Studios see sense and pick one of them! If not, I have faith they'll make the right choice regardless! :)

I voted for Copley. His performance in Distrcit 9 was great. Also, if he can do an American accent, he would feel like the same Bruce Banner from the Incredible Hulk, moreso than a most of the suggested actors.

sharlto and davies.. either is good... but that pic of davies really looks like the part! most importantly, apparently, is neither would cost a fortune to cast or care if they played second, third or even fourth fiddle...

I think Adrian Brody would be the best choice if Norton doesn't come back. He's scrawny, nerdy, and he's a good actor, he's got great geeky personality. I can picture him perfectly with a white lab coat and glasses.

I hear he's got a lot of range. Although I also heard he is a bit excentric. Sort of like Russel Crow. He will only eat the brown M&Ms and OH BOY if you give him any other colored M&Ms ... well let me put it this way. You wouldn't like him when he's angry ...

Copley should have won the fracking Best Acting Oscar for D9. He would be an awesome Banner. That said the Davies dude from lost...well I would go for that also.

I think Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ, Frequency, Outlander, would actually make a good Bruce Banner.
