Here it is in all it's star spangled glory! Captain America's shield!



If this image is anything to go by, it seems that Thor will also have an extra title in the same vein as Captain America: The First Avengers with the words "The Mighty Avenger" clearly on show in this picture.



And it looks like Captain America and Thor wont be the only Avengers at this event...



A few days ago, I posted an article showing what was seemingly the latest cover for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions which revealed the fourth universe as being the black costume. There was some debate as to whether it was actually fake but clearly not as here is the image again, this time on the floor of Comic Con.

In regards to the fourth dimension, I was kinda disappointed too. The black costume has been done before and isn't out of the norm. I was hoping for something not used before like the Spider-Man 2099 or the Noir costumes.

I have to agree that the black suited Spider-Man is a bit of a let down...however, if it's set in the Spider-Man: Reign universe or even on another planet, it could make things a little more interesting!

I am sorry but why is Cap's shield encased in ice? Did he not only obtain this version of his shield AFTER being freed from his icy tomb?

I was hoping for the original WWII shield like everyone else but oh well. It might appear earlier on in the film as a prototype or something that gets broken, then enters that beauty. I'm surprised that the black suit for "Shattered Dimensions" was real though. And was the black suit part of "Spider-Man: Reign?" I've only read about it but never read the graphic novel. I also like the extra title for Thor. We're gonna wait another year until the 'Mighty' and 'First' hit the big screen! Keep up the great work.

P.S.
What do you think about me doing another editorial about another actress for Gwen Stacy? I know this is out of subject for this page but just wanted to know. After this I won't be doing another 'fan cast/editorial' for Gwen Stacy, promise:

I think the mighty avenger subtitle is for the video game adaption
also ign is going to reveal the fourth dimension today so maybe this is
like a teaser poster so they don't reveal the last dimension

AverageCitizen: I'm pretty sure he had the black suit at some point...it's been years since I've read it though so I honestly cant remember exactly how much of the 4 part series he was wearing it! And sure, do another Gwen Stacy related article! I've read your past ones (and the polls you did) but never got around to commenting. I really enjoyed them! :)

As for the shield, I'm actually ok with them not using the original triangular version...there's so much more that they can do with the round one although I'd be ok with it getting some sort of cameo. Perhaps when Cap is part of the USO show!? (still not keen on that idea though to be honest)

So the black suit is official. I'm putting my money on the Ultimate Universe. Even the eyes look similar to Bendis' Ultimate Spidey.

Thanks again, I never knew you read the other ones besides the first Taylor Momsen editorial. I'm gonna see if I can get to work on it as there's no telling when they might announce who's going to play her as they've already confirmed Peter and now there's word about MJ and Elena Satine. I think Elisabeth would work very well with the three but I'll save the rest for the editorial. I'm really glad you enjoyed them. :)

"Spider-Man: Reign" is one of the most likely still with or without a black costume but then again the costume might still be concealed as there is a mysterious streak of fog close to the mask. We might understand once we get word on it. And now that you mentioned it, the WWII shield could just be part of the USO show like you said as I remember Joe saying that the classic WWII costume and trimmings would just be part of Cap's entertainment act. By the way, I caught a peek at the artwork for both Cap and Thor and they looked epic! I was a little worried about Cap's costume because when it was first announced I thought it would stand out too much but it fit in very nicely, especially with the round shield.
