Newsarama report that Marvel have declined to comment on the following image of the February 2011 Marvel Previews. It's interesting to note what Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott had to say at this years Comic Con when asked about editor Steve Wacker's then recent comments that Peter Parker might not be Spider-Man for much longer:
"And in the third arc, there will be a massive status quo shift. Big things are going to happen one after another in this book."
It's also worth noting that February sees the release of
Amazing Spider-Man #654.1, a new initiative by Marvel to give new readers the perfect jumping on point while also setting up new storylines for existing readers. Spider-Man's issue will apparently feature the birth of a new Venom. What does all this mean for Peter Parker..?
Marvel last killed Spider-Man back in "The Other" in 2005. That lasted for only one issue. Will this be more permanent? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!
