EXCLUSIVE: Green Lantern Storyboards And Concept Art Reveals Parallax And Krona!

If you weren't a fan of Galactus' cloud appearence in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, then you may not like Parallax's new look, while we also get what appears to be our first look at Krona! Hit the jump for the three awesome images...

I was contacted earlier today by someone claiming to have obtained the following pictures in a "friend of a friend" type situation. While I was initially reluctant to take any notice of them, the information they provided me with as well as the fact that the pictures are all extremely convincing, leads me to believe that they're 100% genuine. As you can see in the first image, the man (apparently one of the producers) holding that concept art is actually looking up at the same buildings. Of course, we'll soon find out their authenticity if we're asked by Warner Bros to remove them. Until then, enjoy and speculate below!

I may have started reading Green Lantern recently, but I'm still not in the least bit familiar with Krona. As can be seen in the storyboard above, he's clearly in the movie, but it almost looks as if he's a part of Parallax! Is that something which happenned in the comic books? Regardless, I'm a little surprised to see this new look for Parallax, although I must admit that this "cloud" appearence might end up looking very cool in 3D on the big screen!

Well from the picture that was leaked (and then removed by WB) it seems that this is Krona's mutated form. It does seem like an extremly terrifying scene though.

I gotta admit that does look pretty creepy. I hope this is just Parallax's way of scaring people and not what he actually looks like throughout the film.

I am so stoked to this movie. I am convinced it will make people happy, both fans and new fans. I really think so! Ryan Reynolds will do an amazing job, so will Lively, but Strong and Sarsgaard will truly be magificent too. The GL universe is so rich and full of possibilites that it will unfold in a beautiful way. I am so looking forward to this movie and I highly doubt it will be as terrible as every Marvel/wannabe DC fans claims. We have just seen the trailer but from we can gather from actual information the trailer was, of course, taken outta context. Its utter ridicoulus to judge a movie without seeing, though I might say that can work on some few selected movies, but this one just has too much footing, too much groundwork to do that with.

Now I am stresses as hell while writing this, and slightly rused by some dashes of alcohol but this movie will do justice to the incredible and far superior legacy of Green Lantern.

Green Lantern will truly make us wonder about the universe.

BMP!

He would probably be a being of pure energy at this point because it would be before he's regained his corporeal form again.

I wouldn't expect GL taking him on alone. But he might be going after GL to use his ring to regain his form.

I think it would be ridiculous for them to not show Parallax in his comic book form (which would surely look terrifying in live action!) but it does appear as if he might just emerge from that cloud...imagine that in 3D! The Krona stuff leaves me clueless though. Until I started reading Geoff Johns Green Lantern a few months back, I paid literally no attention to news about this movie. Is he supposed to be in the movie? Why does he look nothing like the pictures on Google!?

Who's to say the top art isn't Krona either? It looks to me that all the pictures are of Krona. And here is the definition of what Krona will be like in the movie.

The whole film seems to be dealing with Hal overcoming his fear so maybe this is a nightmare that Hal has in the film before he actually encounters Parallax or Krona?? IMO those pics would make more sense if it was a nightmare...it would give excuse for it to be a formless cloud of yellow energy. Maybe. Then when he faces parallax it would be the final step in conquering his fear...just a thought...

For those of you who don't know, Krona is a renegade Guardian who was banished and discredited by the other Guardians of the Universe for being the first Guardian to feel emotions. His greatest crime, however, was committing the worst and most dangerous crime: Looking towards the dawn of time. According to the Guardians and ancient law, if anyone peers into the dawn/creation of time, all reality will cease to exist, thus no one may look upon it. After being exiled by the Guardians, Krona became one of the deadliest villians in the the Green Lantern mythos. And as an added bonus, in the recent issue of Green Lantern this week, Krona is revealed to be the shadowy villain responsible for attempting to steal and entrap the living entites of all the different Lantern Corps.
