Promo Art Reveals Added Wings On Captain America's Helmet!

It looks like the wings will be a permanent part of Captain America's uniform as a "Hot Toys" promo poster gives us another look at the concept art from a few months ago plus the iconic added feature...

Fantastic scooper RealIrOnMaN of spidermedia.ru fame has revealed a couple of awesome promo pictures for the upcoming "Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece" Captain America: The First Avenger line via the SuperHeroHype forums.

While we've already seen this picture of Captain America before (in the concept art that was leaked around the same time as the ones featuring Chris Hemsworth as Thor) it's interesting to note that it now features the iconic wings we first spotted on the helmet of the stunt man doubling as Chris Evans earlier this year. Speculation also points to this possibly being the modern day version of the costume, but as this official image shows, Marvel clearly plan on using it in the build up to the release of the movie either way.

Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released in 3D on July 22, 2011!

@Arminies depend what state his costume is in when he freezes. and he probably will get some sort of up grade.

this costume militaristic, so they'll probably have him wear a costume closer to the comics. they dont have a trailer because its not finished but i'd rather have them complete everything and then show the trailer

So many people have been complaining about the costumes of thor & Cap's but im guessing Marvel wants to upgrade the look of the costumes (Of thor, ironman, caps etc) in each movie untill Captain america 3 will be a perfect translation of the costume from the comics Coz they don't want thor and cap to have the same costume in all marvel movies. That's why we haven't seen Thor with his helmet much coz they'll prob have him wear all through Avengers or Thor 2.

looks practical. actual feathered-style wings on the costume would really look stupid in a live action flick, works well in cartoons, but not on a live setting.

this won't be the modern day suit. this is the final ww2 suit stark mades for him. the modern can't be mainly cloth. the same i hope for thor too. they must change it a bit for the avengers as iron man will.

Wings will be gone by Captain America 2: Electric Boogaloo. There is no way those things survive the 1940s and into modern times.

@ Denn1s

I think this is the modern suit coz you tell the difference from this pic to the ones we've seen of chris and the stunt double... if you notice the gloves, boots, fabrics (Chest piece looks more harder) & chin strap all look modern than the ones we've seen.. This might be the modern one for the first movie if they still do flashbacks

There's the trailler that came out at Comic-Con. Geezus, you guys didnt see that trailler?

It amazes me people keep asking for the wings. In that trailler, Cap has the f*cking wings, so end of story.

Cool. And why not really? It's a good pic

Anyway I truly truly hope that they go with the WWII Captain America: Reborn look instead of the hideous, uber stupid Ultimate Cap costume on the modern version

This is not the modern version of the suit because if you remember the bike that the stunt man was on while wearing this suit was riding, it was an very old style bike. Still a cool looking suit but can't wait to see what the modern version will look like
