Full Captain America: The First Avenger Teaser To Air This Week?

Rumour has it that Entertainment tonight will be showing a longer teaser for their behind-the-scenes Captain America set visit sometime within the next few days...

Despite speculation pointing to Entertainment Tonight not releasing more Captain America footage possibly for weeks, as late as next month, or even during the Superbowl. Well, Just Jared are reporting that we'll see it a lot sooner than expected.

The 29-year-old actor will be featured in a teaser video for Captain America: The First Avenger later this week on the entertainment news show.

It's not clear whether this will be footage of the actual movie, as they did before releasing the full Green Lantern trailer, or a mixture of that and behind the scenes footage as they did when they teased their visit to the set of Thor last year. I'm going to guess that it's the latter mainly because that didnt look like actual movie footage in the 6 second video which was revealed online a few days ago. Be sure to share your thoughts on this in the usual place!

Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

I'd like to think that it would premiere during the Superbowl too, but keep in mind how expensive it is to air an advertisement during that game. Marvel Studios is still an independent film company, and I'm not sure if they could afford to spend millions of dollars on just one 30-second ad.

I could be wrong, though. Perhaps Paramount or Disney will help out with the cost.

The Superbowl is aired in almost every single country and veiwed by more people than any other event. Last year set a record for television viewers with over 106,000,000 tuning in for the game.

If I had 2 movies like Thor and Captain America, I would certainly pay the asking price for some coverage during the TV event of the year.

According to CBS News, commercial prices for the Super Bowl last year ranged from $2.5 million to $2.8 million. If Marvel has that kind of money to spare, then I say go for it, especially since other movie studios are very likely to advertise their films.

Seriously guys? Ya'll would rather wait another month for the Superbowl only to see about 20 seconds of footage instead of just getting a full-length trailer this week? Here's an idea.... release a trailer this week, AND make a Superbowl spot for Thor and Cap.
