Two New Character Posters For X-Men: First Class Put The Spotlight On Professor X And Magneto!

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Thanks to my good mate RealIrOnMaN from "SpiderMedia", we have the following two character posters for X-Men: First Class!

X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 3, later this year!

@luckylu

I agree. The beginning of the trailer looked like the beginning to a 90's sitcom.

I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned that Magneto looks like he's standing in front of a concentration camp.

Great posters! I wonder if they're going to show what left Chuck (yes, I just called him that) in the wheelchair. The juxtaposition and contrast of the school and concentration camp is fantastic. I'm CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about this movie.

Where is the Havok one?! Ooo I got a good quote for his poster!

"Before he was Havok he was Cyclops' younger brother that is actually his older brother in the movies because making him his younger brother and putting the actual First Class in the movie would just make too much darn sense!"

Too much? Okay just cut it down and put in "Before he was Havok he was Cyke's younger brother...his mutant power? Rapid Aging of course!"

Coooooooooool.....better than the Thor poster. :P

@Slaine and intruder

Sorry for thinking that people might be interested in a glimpse of Magneto revisiting his origins. I don't think we ever saw that in any of the previous films.

The tagline of "before they were this, they were this..." is crap but the posters are ok

Great fond dude. And savage posters. They are indeed better than anything we have seen so far from Thor or Cap! At least they attempt a bit of imagination.

@BATLANTERN- Or, 'Before he was Charles, he was that wimpy, traitor goat-dude from that boring Narnia movie.'

lmao@ TwilightMutant....

... but he was also a bad-ass assassin from Wanted... I guess we will see.

Not that creative. They're a lot like the 1st Phantom menace poster with the Anakin shadow of Darth Vader. it's better than anything I've seen for GL though.

They do have the same idea to them, but at least it's an idea. And a good one at that. Better than the generic crap marvel love to use to promote their movies. I'm not saying the movies themselves will be bad, but you have to admit(or I should say, any reasonable person has to admit) that their advertising SUCKS!

Weeeeeeeell, it is the same thing as 'The Phantom Menace' poster, but who cares? Why should that have any bearing on this film? Besides, I've ALWAYS LOVED 'The Phantom Menace'. BOOM! Can't wait for First Class! That stuff is gonna be epic!!!
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 2/28/2011, 1:19 PM
Really? One other movie poster uses character foreshadowing and it's a cliche?
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 2/28/2011, 1:19 PM
Thanks guys! :) I'm also shocked to also admit that these are MUCH better than the ones for Thor. Rather than a rather bland shot of Xavier or Magneto just standing there with a blank background, these actually have a deeper meaning to them, and are quite honestly, pretty [frick]ing cool.
