Gary Oldman Hints At More Batman Movies From Christopher Nolan After TDKR!

The actor has revealed that despite recent reports, he isn't ruling out the possibility of director Christopher Nolan coming back to make a fourth Batman movie! Check it out...

Like all of the actors involved with the third installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise, Gary Oldman was careful not to let any new details from the movie slip while being interviewed earlier this evening. He did however hint that despite recent reports, there's nothing to say that Christopher Nolan won't return to helm another movie after The Dark Knight Rises! It's a little hard to tell that from the rough transcript below, so be sure to watch the video to see what you think about what Oldman had to say!

"And then in May, Batman in May. Until November. The story is great. Well, Chris is always negotiating, so when he says that I don't know. He kind of brings it around to Batman Begins. It's a really thrilling story. It would have to be, to top The Dark Knight."

With an all star cast which includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

It'd be interesting to see how Nolan incorporates Robin in the future.

There's no way in hell that Nolan would make a movie about something as dumb as Batman Beyond. Now The Dark Knight Returns is more like it.

i honestly think that after TDKR.....there'll be a "mysterious pause" from Nolan on Batman movies for a while. During that time he might dive into the world of Superman{i.e. continuing the story he developed with goyer} depending on how the reboot plays out with him, synder and goyer.
Then as massive demand for a Batman continuation from him heats up..he MAY,i repeat "MIGHT" do somewhat of a 2nd Trilogy/ one more movie!
Nolan is too hard to read or even figure out!!

In Nolan we Trust!!!!

I personally think this is Nolan's last Batman movie. I would really like to see him take some time away from it,maybe uh 5-6 years, come back and adapt Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns. That would be awesome...

The English interviewers seem way more respectable than the American ones. The American ones are obnoxious and disrespectful. Anyway, that's very interesting what Oldman said. Hmm, which would mean Nolan never thinks too far ahead. He sort of goes with his current thoughts.

Grif, you were more likable with the bear picture cuz I always imagined this angry bear at the keyboard with his lil catchphrases.

But you're just an annoying part of the comments section now.

I didn't catch anything about any future installments.
And grif, get a life. as long as Nolan has a mind to use to blow others, let him make as many Batman movies as he wants...although the character has been kinda overexposed on the big screen.

But aside from your dumb dislike of Nolan's movies u do make some sense sometimes. I agree on Batman Beyond being dumb and not worthy of a movie adaptation.

Well it would make sense considering all the rumors so far. It seems like theres was way too many characters and too much going on for it to be the final movie.

i really can't see what the problem is with grif,he'll never change so let him get on with it.

Fanboys consistently take everything Gary Oldman says and fill it with shit when it comes to Batman rumors, and the studio likes it that way. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure he likes [frick]ing with fanboys too.

Love this man, he's a brilliant [frick]ing actor, all the time. But jesus christ I'd have think you people would have learned by now

1) If you were concerned with the ambiguity of the ending of Inception you missed the whole point, and will for a long time

and, more importantly,

2) Chris Nolan works on ONE FILM AT A TIME. Always. He doesn't plan trilogies. He recused himself from active involvement with the Superman film because he wanted to devote almost all of his focus to Batman. He doesn't have the grand schemes for the next ten years of his career, he's just doing what he wants to.

It cracks me up listening as the Nolanites genuflect and whisper in hushed tones, uttering praises for the benevolence of the NolanGod.

Oh Yea, and the Lord Nolan did proclaim "cut, that's a wrap". Thus the production was finished, and all the host of them. Then Nolan looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day. And on the seventh day Nolan finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.

bullshit, he doesnt know anything.. this is nothing but "i dont know what he's planning" taken out of context, he's seen the script and that's it... begins wasnt supposed to have a sequel, they just put in the joker card at the end for the fans

THE BATMAN FOR NOLAN IS GOLD...THEY'LL OFFER THE GUY MONDO MONEY BECAUSE HE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE BATMAN MOVIES..BUT IT COMES FROM A STORY TELLERS STANDPOINT, NOLAN'S A STORYTELLER AND A GOOD ONE.. IF HE DOESN'T FEEL" IT" IT WONT HAPPEN. STORY IS THE REASON BATMAN DID WELL, ITS ALL ABOUT STORY. 3 HR MOVIE? THATS TOO LONG, BUT IF ITS BATMAN NOLAN MOVIE, ITS ALL GOOD.

As much as I like Nolan... I want a new Batman movie that has continuity with the other DC movies in the future... you know, to end in a "Justice League" movie. Nolan's Batman pretty much nixed it when he (Nolan) said that Bats is the only supposed "Super Hero" in his trilogy. In the end, regardless of the characters, Nolan's Batman is just a guy wearing a batsuit being a vigilante - nothing super about that as there's NOTHING larger than life to Bats in TDK - no "mysticism" as they made it with needed "realism BS" in mind.... Begins had a bit of the bat mysticism in it, as it still had that "fantasy" edge... TDK killed it.

Those telling Grif to get a life, how about you stop worrying about what Grif says, if he doesnt like the movie, then thats his opinion. He's actually pretty damn funny, I miss the Man vs Shit video.

The gandhi of trolls...does grif enjoy enimas too?

Grif gets hate because he only has either negative comments or the same video to post. It's cool that he doesn't ramp up arguments but he never has anything constructive to say.

But seriously, if there is a good movie to be made I'm all for it. Who the [frick] picks and chooses when a they want a good movie to come out, that's just retarded. It's only overkill when the quality drops off and the themes and stories repeat themselves.

Marvel72, who do you think dictates what movies get made into trilogies? Just people who say "hey I like this character, let's make 3 movies." batman gets trilogies because it is an obviously popular character that can bring in a lot of money. And why does the production of batman films halt the production of other cbms?
