Despite rumors that the actress has tried out for the role of Lois Lane before it was officially announced that director Zack Snyder had chosen
The Fighter star, Amy Adams, it has now been confirmed by
Muveez that these reports were false. As you can see from the following excerpts from their report, the
Twilight actress never even tried out for the part!
Rumours had been circulating that the Twilight star was being considered for the role of Lois Lane, although the part ended up going to Amy Adams.
A rep for the actress issued a statement, which read, "There are a number of fabricated stories circulating. The fact is that she has not met on this film nor has she been approached for this film."
While it's irrelevent now that another actress has been cast as the iconic Daily Planet reporter, I'm sure that this news will be a relief to those of you who aren't that keen on the
Twilight star! Are you happy or disappointed with this news? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!
Starring Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Michael Shannon as General Zod,
Superman: The Man of Steel is expected to be released sometime during the Winter of 2012!
