Despite speculation that the Twlight star has been approached by Zack Snyder for a role in the upcoming reboot, a rep has now confirmed that she has not been offered a role in the movie...

Despite rumors that the actress has tried out for the role of Lois Lane before it was officially announced that director Zack Snyder had chosen The Fighter star, Amy Adams, it has now been confirmed by Muveez that these reports were false. As you can see from the following excerpts from their report, the Twilight actress never even tried out for the part!

Rumours had been circulating that the Twilight star was being considered for the role of Lois Lane, although the part ended up going to Amy Adams.

A rep for the actress issued a statement, which read, "There are a number of fabricated stories circulating. The fact is that she has not met on this film nor has she been approached for this film."


While it's irrelevent now that another actress has been cast as the iconic Daily Planet reporter, I'm sure that this news will be a relief to those of you who aren't that keen on the Twilight star! Are you happy or disappointed with this news? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Starring Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Michael Shannon as General Zod, Superman: The Man of Steel is expected to be released sometime during the Winter of 2012!

Praise the Lord.
I'm not biased against using Twilight actors in other movies (unless it's something like Robert Pattison as Spiderman or Taylor Lautner as Wolverine), but Kristen Stewart as Lois Lane is pure blasphemy.

@MovieTheaterLad Oh yeah, sure; like nobody on this site don't want to see the fanservice Rouge who have taken all the powers of Ms. Marvel and kick alot of asses with a extremely confident, flirty personality.

Instead we want to see the dull, sadden Rouge who is overcome by her pathetic life, and doesn't play the role as the flirty, happy-go-lucky ass kicker who be that way to ignore the fact that her life sucks.

So, yeah, Kristen Stewart is perfect for role . . . basically playing the same role, Anne Paquin played in the last movies.

For once I have to agree (partially) with MTL.

She CAN act. She was good in Runaways (and as shit as the film is, she is the best thing about Twilight too, albeit that's not saying much - I haven't seen the others to say if her perfomances drop in standard). She's also young and still learning. She's just an actress, not the anti-christ.

Definitely not a Lois Lane at this stage in her career however, but she's no Lindsay Lohan either.

Kristen Stewart is terrible. I have watched a few of the movies shes been in and not a single one was her acting any different from the other.
Runaways sucked too for everyone saying we should see it to see how Stewart can act. I couldnt sit through more than 30 min of that garbage.

Anytime i start to feel sad, i read articles like this and i get so happy i cannot contain my joy.

I honestly don't think Kristen DownSyntewart could pull of an intelligent female character, she obviously hasn't yet, and with what she has already done I don't think she is being typecast, she is being honestcast.
