The following was revealed on Twitter just a few moments ago by the ever reliable source,
Variety's Jeff Sneider. Stay tuned for more details as they come through. As I'm sure you'll agree, this is rather surprising news, although surely a good thing if it means the movie ends up having the time to be as good as possible.
BREAKING: WARNER BROS. has moved Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL to JUNE 14, 2013!
UPDATE: Thanks to The Playlist, we now have further confirmation of the news.
Something had to give, and right in the middle of Comic-Con no less! Warner Bros. has officially moved the Christopher Nolan-produced, Zack Snyder produced, Superman movie "Man of Steel" from December 2012 to June, 14, 2013. December 2012 is already stacked: Fox’s "Life Of Pi," Quentin Tarantino‘s "Django Unchained," Disney‘s "Lone Ranger" and perhaps more importantly, a competing WB film, Peter Jackson‘s "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."
What do you guys make of this news? I'd say the above take on this move by Warner Bros. is pretty spot on, and this is undoubtedly great news for us comic book movie fans. 2012 is already a packed year, and
Man of Steel now joins
Iron Man 3 and
THOR 2 in 2013!
