Taking to his Twitter account once again, Mark Millar revealed earlier today that Supercrooks, an upcoming comic book series with art from Lenil Yu described as "Oceans 11 Meets The X-Men", is now in the hands of a movie studio. That's right, although it won't hit stands until next year, the script has been completed and is awaiting the green light. It will be directed by Nacho Vigalondo. The critically acclaimed comic book writer also dropped some hints that a few of his other projects will also be hitting the big screen come 2013. Nemesis? Superior? Yes please!

What do you guys make of this news? Which of Millar's characters are you most looking forward to seeing come to life on the big screen? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

[frick] Superior. I'd rather see a Captain Marvel movie. But that's unlikely because DC have their thumbs up their asses.

It'd be awesome to see Nemesis. MAYBE Kick-Ass 2, but I doubt it.

Jeeze, Mark is a real press whore, isn't he?

He's either full of shit (because on a number of occasions he jumps on Twitter and says "Big casting news for Superior next week!" which never happens.) or every time he and the studio do decide on something he jumps on Twitter and blabs about it, pissing off the studio.

come on people, do you take him that serious, its his ego at play. Did anyone else notice that in the credits OF Captain America, they Thanked MARK MILLAR....how awesome is that....he is such fun to read. I hope he gets a chance to do a book in the Mainstream Marvel universe, enough in the ultimates, come back to give us some real fun

If Kick Ass was the hit he claims it was the sequel would be in the works now. The fact is the film probably barely broke even and that's only after you add dvd sales. I doubt we'll be threatened with a sequel anytime soon unless it's a direct to video sort of thing and done on the cheap.

I like some of the guys works but his personality is just annoying as hell and I can't help but hope something finally shuts him up.

I'd love to see a Nemesis movie. Really enjoyed the book. We are all aware that it's his personal twitter feed? Not press releases, we can avoid them if we so choose to.

Slaine, all I'm going by is what's been shown to the public. The film's budget was 30mil, in general p&a for a wide release runs anywhere from 50mil and up. When you do the math and take into account that the film only made about 96 mil which is split between the studio and the theaters it becomes pretty obvious that it wasn't the hit they claim. They maybe broke even or made a small profit only when you include the home market and that money they have to split with either the retailers or the cable co. if it's ppv

WittySupername you're correct and Green Lantern is yet to open in quite a few western european, a few Asian and southern american countries. When all it's said and done GL won't be the big bomb most believe it to be.
