SYNOPSIS: In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone's imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question - Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as "Superman," not only to shine as the world's last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

I like the first one.

See? That last side-by-side one shows that the suit really is better minus the red shorts... Nice. Like it.

Is it so hard to give him freaking pants? This skin tight onesie look is just pathetic. Not as pathetic as with the red underwear but still dear god.

I kind of like the first one...but I could probably go without the red on the wrist though. It just looks wierd to me. Other than that great job!

I agree with Tea, except I like the brighter shade of blue not the bulge. Also losing the man panties was a good move.

all the lines going around the suit looks ALOT like spidermans new suit

I'm really in love with new suit.

With all the details incorporated in the suit, u'd think they'd be able to put more red and yellow highlights through it.

Costume fail.

Ewww @TEA... keep Sup's bulge out of your mouth. ;)

Wish someone could do a manip to remove the designs on the sides and not just color them.

i really like the second one, make it just a lil brighter and throw in some yellow

I can remember a time - long ago - when Marvel even drew 'underpants' on a story involving a giant dinosaur. We've moved on since then? No? I like the new design. If the story/acting is good, no one besides the comic community will care anyway.

@ tea as a fellow brit that is quite enough of the BULGE please its just not cricket :)

I second that...Personally I actually think that he should be flat down there. Afterall it may just be a bulge to us, but to a horny Superman that is a seed spewing shotgun. Hmmm now I find myself wondering whether it is double-barrelled?!
Greengo

Now.... about that hair....

(just kidding people)

I really like the darker blue for the new suit.
Is the silver line on the costume will going to be red?
Greengo

He does have a pompadour though :)

I can't help but thinlk the colors on this suit will be CG enhanced before it hits theaters. Why go through the trouble of redesigning a classic costume when the final product looks as if it's never been washed?

It looks like it's old and dirty. The design is cool but it doesn't pop. All the yellow looks like it belongs on a cheap airbrushed T-shirt.

I like the one that has the red trunks. It looks more traditional. The new suit SUCKS

i dig.
like the 1st 2

the one where the colors Pop looks good.

There is something inherently Superman-less about the suit without pants.

I don't think that Clark Kent/Superman wouldn't look in a mirror or "down there" and not think, "Hmmm...maybe I will use that extra material left over from the cape and effectively hide my thunder..." It just speaks to the character of the character.

I mean, if Morrison and Quitely didn't go "down there" that's saying something...know what I'm sayin' ?

And I don't think the mock up with the coloured unitard pants does justice to what the costume could have looked like with pants, I repeat, with pants.

I like the movie suit the best (bottom left), making the parts red is just too much...
amxt
amxt - 8/31/2011, 6:44 AM
I like the new one. It looks less campy and more realistic. If an alien would come to earth, would he be wearing a brightly coloured outfit with colouring specifically hilighting the pelvis?? I think not.
Fortress
Fortress - 8/31/2011, 6:51 AM
I like the second one down, the colour is more traditional with comics!!

I like henry suit but it needs a yellow belt and a yellow S on the cape! :)

interesting

I like the one which is going to be featured in the big screen :)

The first pic is cool too!

i agree, the lack of red shorts is fine. given the costume design, but! the ride piping? really helps. look at Thor's updated costume for Avengers and just a bit more color goes a long way.
omg i hate his hair. so so much of his look works for me but why is that hair acceptable??
Fogs

Forget it, the movie one's good enough!! The yellow and red excess is what made it cheesy looking to me in the 1st place.

What's next, if the movie isn't to your liking, you film your own version and post it in an article on CBM.com? What a stupid article.

TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: SUPERMAN has worn red pants for 75 years, you cant say if people like them on there not SUPERMAN fans! :)

The dark colours but mainly the piping and the bracelets are killing this suit for me.

Really like the more iconic looking manip.

You want something to cover up his cock? either way you are going to see it, underwear or not.

For all the smart guys that keep posting all the pictures of the new Superman, take nope that that particular outfit is pulled together WITH THE RED BELT!!!!! Cavill has a freakin belt buckle with no damn belt and nothing to pull his out fit together. He looks like Vegeta in his saiyan clothes minus the armor. It's an ok Superman outfit but even with the awsome cape, it's too bland and not very heroic looking.
