D23 "Cup O' Joe" Panel Offers Up New Ultimate Spider-Man Footage And Avengers Teaser!

Thanks to a heads up from Twitter's @alexlegarda, we now have the full "Cup O' Joe" panel from a couple of weeks back at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim. While the entire nearly 90 minute video is in itself an interesting watch, jump to roughly the 40 minute mark for Marvel Studios talk (including all of the after credits scenes, the ending of Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers teaser) and the 55 minute point for our first look at Ultimate Spider-Man.

Disappointed that The Avengers teaser isn't really that much better quality than what we've seen in the past? Well, don't panic, becuase we have this 360p slightly superior bootleg version courtesy of Twitter's @antovolk!

STARRING:

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Ramanoff/Black Widow
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
Tom Hiddleston as Loki

RELEASE DATE: May 4th, 2012. (US)

I don't like the Ultimate Universe, but that TV show looks pretty sweet. I still think it might be part of the MCU.

Animation wise the look of the new spider-man show looks way better then spectacular spider-man but quality wise in terms of humor and action I doubt it will be. I also dislike the voice of the new spider-man however J.K Simmons as JJ again is awesome.

Ultimate Spiderman looks fantastic. The animation is a whole other tier. Hopefully they'll take it a little easier on the visual humour. I dont exactly want him turning to spider-toast everytime some one mentions the word...

Still bummed that Spectacular Spider-man is no more. New show could be good, though Josh Drake is nowhere near as versatile as Jost Keaton.

Spectacular Spiderman should have never been cancelled. This new incarnation of the webslinger has much to live up to, in my opinion.

ultimate spidey looks good. For some reason, Drake's voice for ultimate spider-man is kinda how I imagined it. Either him or the guy who voiced him in the ultimate spider-man video game. I can see why they picked him. However, I don't think it would work for 616 spidey. But this works.

Everytime I see that Avengers footage I cum.

If you pay attention in The Avengers footage, you'll notice that the Hulk can be heard

God I love that industrial music they have for the Avengers teaser. Feels like music to build something to. Like assembling the greatest superhero team of all time.

Except for how Fury looks (and its ONLY looks, origin in both toon and even the Marvel movieverse are different) and a few other small cosmetic things here and there, most of how the charaters look are usually a combo of both 616 and Ultimates with the few exceptions of it being more Ultimates-looking (like Hawkeye and Fury), it tends to lean more towards 616. Also, character and origin wise, they are leaning way more toward the 616 (Ultimate Thor is a hippie, Cap on a bad day will kick your teath in for looking at him wrong, etc). Also, in the Ultimate Universe, they WILL kill you off...Spidey was just the latest casuality, Wolverine, Black Widow/(Natasha), Magneto, Prof X, Cyclops, Daredevil, Beast, Hank Pym, the Wasp, Angel, Dr. Strange, Nightcrawler, Juggernaught and several others were killed off, and unlike the regular 616, I don't see any of who I just mentioned coming back. (I think they would make another whole new universe then reverse to much of whats going on in there, they seem to like to make that reality Hell.) In that sense, for forms of other media it kinda linits you, hell IMO it linits the damn comics as well. People who think the movies are more Ultimates then 616 have not really been following the Ultimates. If ironman followed more Ultimates, then Black Widow would have shot Jarvis in the head and killed him in Ironman 2 (as it is, Jarvis is a computer, which is unique to their Marvel movie-verse).

Damn, no edit button, the above is a general comment about Marvel movies and can include the toons as well.
