Now, there's not a lot here, but the actress who brought Catwoman to life on the big screen under the direction of Tim Burton has for the first time shared her thoughts on Anne Hathaway playing the character in a recent interview with Hollywood Life. As we already know, Christopher Nolan's take on the Caped Crusader is very different, but that doesn't mean Michelle Pfeiffer has any doubt about Anne Hathaway's capabilities.

"I think [Anne] is going to be amazing. She has the darkness and the comedy — she’s got it all! She’s going to be great."

I find it weird that if Anne, now IF! Anne is amazing, if she knocks it out of the park, that she will be "Catwoman" for the new generation. As @Reasonnn said, Heath topped Nicholson? I have a feeling she will be FANTASTIC!

Lol @ all the judging of Anne before one frame of footage is shown....Small minds.

As for Heath vs Nicholson, Jack did the best 'Jack-Nicholson-Playing-Joker' Joker. Heath Ledger did the best true portrayal of The Actual Modern Day Joker.

I have no doubt that Anne will destroy Michelle as Catwoman, mostly because she'll have a competent director/writer handling her, and not some hack who'll turn her into a Zombie.

I'm cracking up at this moment! I tell ya, it's all the same. Whenever you ask a celebrity about another celebrity or director, etc., they ALL say the same thing:
" Oh he/she is amazing!"(they always say 'amazing')
"Such a talented actor/director/best boy, whatever-!"
Do we actually expect them to be honest if warranted and say, " Uhh, yeah, the guy's a total dick", or "this director sucks! Couldn't direct a person to a 'Slurpee' in front of a '7-11' !

If there's something Burton did right IMO, it was casting his characters. She was and i feel will always be the best Catwoman. Just like i'll always prefer Nicholson, Devito and Keaton until i see someone topping them, which i have yet to see.

You gotta understand how Nolan thinks.
The guy is going to select the best actress HE thinks can interpret HIS vision of the character in the film he's making at the moment.
He screen-tested alot of woman for the role; she obviously tested best as an actress in representing what he wanted to see on film.
Michelle is hotter that Hathaway, that's true- just watch 'Scarface'- , and it sucks that Hathaway isn't as hot as 'Catwoman' in the comics, which leaves us with two questions:
Do we, A. Want a 'Catwoman' who can pull off the role flawlessly and feel 'meh' on her looks, or...
B. Have an actress who looks as hot as Selina in in the comics, but her acting is so inept, it's a total distraction, and we complain months after the premiere about why Nolan didn't hire a more talented actress.
I'd rather have an actress who can carry the role and suffer the lack of 'hotness', if you will, than a super hot chick who can't act her way out of a jay-walking ticket. JMHO.
