COMICS: The Joker Gets A Shocking New Look On The Last Page Of Batman: The Dark Knight #2!

Two-Face underwent a shocking transformation at the end of the first issue, and now it's the Joker (who we last saw minus a face at the end of Detective Comics #1) who has been given a new look...

Before you go any further, there are SPOILERS AHEAD. Last month, Batman: The Dark Knight #1 saw Two-Face "Hulk Out" and now the same applies for The Joker at the end of the second issue! As the guys over at Inside Pulse point out, this is somewhat confusing, especially as the conclusion of Detective Comics #1 last month saw The Joker without a face! (or so it seems...) Anyway, here's the Clown Prince of Crime in all his "Hulked Out" glory. Of course, as you'll know if you've read the issue, this does eventually wear off. Still, it doesn't explain what's up with his face!

Batman: The Dark Knight by Paul Jenkins and David Finch is a fun enough title, although definitely the weakest of all the relaunched Bat books. (it's sort of how you would imagine a Batman movie in the hands of Michael Bay - brainless and action packed) What do you guys think of this new look Joker? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

the Michael Bay comparison is spot on

If you're on a tight budget just invest what you can on the great Scott Snyder Batman title or Animal Man, Swamp Thing as well.

I don't think this is actually his new look. This is just a story mechanism right here. Basically someone is giving some type of drug to all of Arkham's inmates. It eventually wears off as seen by Two-Face in the beginning of the issue.

I wonder if people know that "wait til the get a load of me" is what the Green Goblin said...I know joker was first created but if I remember right gobby was the first to say that line.

its possibly a variant of venom. i actually was reading this book before the relaunch, and in it croc had gotten his hands on a street variant of venom and was using it. one of the effects was it altered his appearance like this.

The Joker said it before Green Goblin. Jack Nicholson's Joker in Burton's Batman movie, but he still said it.

For me it's

#1 Batman
#2 B&R
#3 DC
#4 TDK

Did anyone else notice they were using a chemical that made them laugh and get buff (or more or less full of adrenaline) in Firestorm #2?

Geez... first Two-Face and now Joker. Are all the rogues gallery going to be roided up? Are they all taking Bane's Venom? I mean seriously... is this Batman or an episode of "Jersey Shore" because I've never seen so many juiceheads.

LOLO, Perez has words in it and it's not written for the ADHD generation. So it's considered boring.

Maybe it should be more gory, ROFL>
