Jensen Ackles is a brilliant actor. For anyone who has watched even a single episode of Supernatural then you should know exactly what I mean. Over 4 seasons Ackles has developed his character, Dean Winchester in a way that Smallville's Tom Welling can only dream of. During these 4 seasons, Ackles has displayed a wide range of acting styles from an all round ass kicking action man to creating a character with great emotional depth. Week after week, he pulls off a wise cracking, cocky attitude but at the same time a caring brother who will even go to hell to save his family.
He may not have been great when he was in Smallville (but face it, that show can make the greatest actor bad-even Scrubs' brilliant Neil Flynn) and I have never even seen Dawsons Creek. For those of you who think that he is only capable of the wise ass type character he plays in Supernatural, watch My Bloody Valentine 3D. I know a lot of people who have watched that movie think it sucks but whatever your opinion of the film watch Ackles in it-you couldnt find a character any different to Dean Winchester (especially in the last few scenes).
The fact is, in my opinion, the above facts make him a perfect choic for Captain America. As I have said he is a great actor who I can imagine being able to play a WWII super soldier just as easily as he could play a confused Stve Rogers who wakes up in the 21st century to a whole new world. He looks the part and quite honestly its not that hard to imagine him in the part as the character and personality of Dean Winchester isnt that far off from being Captain America anyway. There are many actors who could play Cap and be great in the part but in my opinion there is only one actor who is perfect for the role...Jensen Ackles.
