Warner Bros. Said To Be Eyeing This List Of Female Directors For WONDER WOMAN

It was revealed yesterday that Warner Bros. are hoping to land a female director for their Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot, and now a possible shortlist has emerged which includes names like Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) and more!

Forbes claim to have heard that Warner Bros. already have a list of female directors they're hoping will helm Wonder Woman for them in 2017. This list includes Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Mimi Leder (Deep Impact), Karyn Kusama (Girlfight), and Julie Taymor, the woman responsible for the disaterous Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. However, she has found acclaim for her work on The Tempest and others. Also being considered are TV directors Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones) and Tricia Brook (The Walking Dead). The site adds that Bigelow, Leder, and Hardwicke, with MacLaren are the main contenders. Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow is of course a fan-favourite choice to helm Wonder Woman, and while the site says that she's in the mix, it appears as if that's based more on speculation than reliable insider information.

Regardless, if true, this isn't a bad start and it will be refreshing to see a female director in charge of a superhero movie (especially one with a female lead). Who do you guys think is the best choice?

Hardwicke would win. WB loves re-using people they've worked with in the past. If they succeed in getting a female director, the internet is going to break. I can see it now but good on them for doing it tho.

"I wish WB would pick a great director, no matter what gender they are. I hope the females from this list are good, if not great directors."

For once I'll have to agree with the Mexican.

Have nothing against a woman directing but both "Twilight" and "Red Riding Hood" were terrible movies.

Bigelow would be right, but MacLaren wouldn't be bad either. Just... no Julie Taymor. Her movies are visually great, but apart from that, they suck ass.

I think they should just find the director who has the best take on her character. I doubt someone like Bigelow would do it, but like Mark Hughes at Forbes said, if they gave her a sweet deal she could end up working on WW.

Hughes also said that the Batman v Superman teaser should drop with The Hobbit but could possibly be a surprise reveal with Interstellar!

Wonder Woman and her army of S.J.W's (Social Justice Warriors). They fight CIS white men with to much privilege...

Ok, I'll show myself out now...

Or maybe you hire someone with that "something" that would make him/her perfect for the movie.

If they want a female director because they think it would be a better movie then it's fine but if they're doing it for the marketing then [frick] them for being sexist against male directors

But this production needs an actress with name and charism, this current has already been rejected by the public.
