Willing to give this a shot.

I mean what's the harm in buying a movie ticket and suspending belief for 2 hours. Pretty much the same thing I do for every CBM I pay to see.

the [frick]ed up Doom. I lost all interest in this movie. You got a guy like Toby Kebbell (Koba from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes). Can't just make a big scar or show his face burned or something ? This is exacly what they did to Dafoe in Spiderman. Should keep him without the mask. Or at least make the mask look good. His face ... big mistake.

Also ... why is this movie (imo) looks like it should be made 10 years ago ? You know, in 2005 this movie could actually stand a chance.

what hurts me the most is that i actually thought Fox started to listen to fans about proper costumes. I guess this movie was made before they started to listen. I'm not even Doom fan or something like that but even i can see that even if they have some good explanation about his look in the movie ... the mask is terrible. Second worst comic book character costume this year.

@jerryblake

That's not a mask. That's his face. And to me it looks great and as menacing as it should be. Things don't always have to be a 100% comic-like.

@Dan01

imo this looks ... mehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
They shoulda just burn his face a bit.
It's not even that it's not 100% comic-like.
that kind of makeup in 2015 comic book movie ?
Aim higher.

it's like i was watching some deleted scene from 1987 Masters of the Universe (1987!!!)
New Doom would fit well.

I don't think he was saying at all that he was making another Chronicle. I think he's referring more to the same subject of individuals all gaining their powers together, some for good others for opposite sessions for what they believe is good. In some ways they both share the same concept but there's different scopes compared to the two. Anyone can see the difference if they watch that film and look at what we're being given here.

Exactly, and people here know it. They just keep pretending they don't, so that they can keep using any argument possible to hate the movie (even when it makes no sense at all).

Okay, so does anyone else understand why having The Thing wear no pants is a problem? Do we really need to have to understand how he feels about having no penis? Or having to ask where it went? It's complicated enough having him turn into a rock monster, but to have him turn into a eunich too? Seriously, that would really screw a man up. More unnecessary exposition for the characters in this stupid movie.

@BillWonka

during my detective case on "does Thing have a dick" thing i discovered that Stan Lee explained he have a dick and it's orange and it's made of stone. So ... my investigation lead me to believe you actually can't see his dick because his weiner looks like the rest of his body. It's hard to notice. So the people won't actually see it once they are standing close to Ben. Thats' why Ben decided to wear no pants. He knows they can't see it. Not without closer look.

You don't really have to "look" when there are obvious reasons places in front of us. Save your dollar and do the right thing according to your standards and I'm sure others will do the opposite according to theirs.

I mean with all respect, some people are just going to hate regardless and then again some people actually do have reasonings for hating what they see. I've seen about 4-5 people lost the same comments from February up until this point for what seems to be no apparent reason. There are quick comments people can make to gain more buzz/questioning surrounding why they may feel the way they do and there's people who feel as if they have to remind us of their initial thoughts. It's not something just used in this context, you can say the same thing when we pretty much brag how much we've seen a film at a theater once it releases. "OMG seeing Paul Blart for the 5th time!" lol People just want us to know how they feel, there's no problem with that. It only gets pathetic when the comments start to make zero sense.

I never said it feels like Chronicle 2, I said that I wish this was Chronicle 2 because not only do I feel we would have got a better movie and Trank would have had even more freedom to do whatever he wanted, but also because this just isn't the Fantastic Four

It has elements of the Fantastic Four but it has taken a lot of liberties

I'm not a fan of the Ultimate Fantastic Four, which this is based on, so this movie isn't for me

I can't stand the fact that Reed in this comes from a broken family (same as Ultimate), can't stand what they did to Reed

And, I also really don't like what their doing with the Thing, his voice, his looks, the no pants, ugh

If you like it, then more power to you
