KryptonSite.com reports that Ted Whittall has been cast in the role of Rick Flag for the 10th and final season of "Smallville".



"We have gotten confirmation that Ted Whittall has landed the role of the Suicide Squad leader, and that he will be appearing in at least two episodes, starting with "Shield" and "Ambush," the latter of which is currently filming."

Whittall previously appeared in "Smallville" as Lana's personal trainer in the Season 8 episode
"Power".



This could mean a gateway is being created for the introduction of The Suicide Squad. Personally I'd like to see Deadshot appear on Smallville as he surely deserves a live-action appearance! There have been slight rumors of a The Suicide Squad spin-off, which this casting should definitely encourage.

The Suicide Squad is going to be on Smallville. Its been said a million times. Deadshot is already cast. I believe its also been said that Oliver Queen/Green Arrow joins the Suicide Squad

Vitamin @ Guys @ I used to like SMALLVILLE a lot, Welling was cool as a farm boy till he went to the city as MATRIX BOY! Never liked Chloe, hated that weak Doomsday version in the show from the very start and the writings gone to pi$$ since the first few seasons of SMALLVILLE!

The writing used to be edge of your seat!

I mean look at the JOR-EL episode... WTF was that?!?

Saying that, I love all (well most) DC UNIVERSE cameos in the show like the JSA etc, but bottom line, if I had to pay to watch SMALLVILLE I wouldn't, good job its free!

Whats wrong with not wanting the SMALLVILLE-VERSE to touch the DC MOVIE-VERSE?

Anyways this is cool news as long as it don't affect the big screen verson thats suppose to made of SUICIDE SQUAD, if it does, then it isn't good news, thats all I'm saying.

The only three SS members worth seeing there are Captain Boomerang, Bronze Tiger and DEADSHOT. Enchantress and Nightshade are a big maybe.

Since Smallville is bringing the whole frickin' DC universe, WHY oh WHY hasn't gone around to introducing other potential Iron Man-like second stringers like THE DOOM PATROL, PHANTOM STRANGER, RESURRECTION MAN and THE ATOM?

Awesome-really? A Suicide Squad tv show? That would be gre...er, "awesome" :) Can you verify? A Suicide Squad tv show sounds cool.

Another character that should have a tv series is JOHN CONSTANTINE, reboot and all. It would be interesting if the British did this and not the Americans though that would be wishful thinking.

A lot of second string characters having tv or mini-tv series does appear to be the better option than an outright movie or game.

I fell asleep during the first hour of Absolute Justice. I just can't see Michael Shanks, the pacifist from Stargate, as Hawkman. And I thought it was rather odd that they brought in Sandman for a whole minute, only to kill him off. And the villain was an emo kid, etc. The second hour was better. I'm not a Chloe-hater, but the scene with Chloe in the dumpster was funny.
