As if we didn't have enough CBMs to keep track of, Marvel had to go and add nine more to the list earlier on. The nerve! Never fear though, as Comics Alliance have provided a very handy infographic which will allow us to mark our calenders for every upcoming superhero movie from all the major studios. Also included are the movies we know are in the works but don't have set release dates yet.

Kind of wondering if the general public is going to get burned out on superhero movies at some point.

We should all Thank Marvel Studios, guys. Ever since The Avengers happened; WB, Sony and Fox stepped up and started creating their own movie line ups!

@cimmerian Agreed. Though I find I'm more interested in what DC may have cooking than Fox or Sony. Although I'm glad Fox seems to be getting X-Men back on track.

@XMenMarvelFan

Yeah that's the one I keep wondering about too. I'm thinking it's either another movie with the original cast, or some kind of crossover with Fantastic Four. It's hard to tell at this point

@DIAMONDZ If there is people that keep paying money to see Tyler Perry movies even though they are god awful, the CBM genre is safe lol.

For geeks like us the next several years are going to be a blast but I think oversaturation is a legitimate worry. It will be interesting to see how all these different endeavors by various studios succeed at distinguishing themselves from one another. If they fail audiences will tune out. The cream (hopefully) will rise to the top.

Wait till the DC/Vertigo slate is announced!!!! I am guessing 5-6 more movies to add to that graphic. We will have to zoom in to even read it !!!!!! Saturation is definitely a worry but DC and Marvel films have different feels to them so who knows.

I'm hoping we get Affleck's solo Batman film in June or August of 2018 and Man of Steel 2 sometime in late 2020.
UltimateHunt

im exited for EVERY single film except WW.

My most anticipated year i think for all of us is 2016,
that is because it will be the very 1st year that we will
have the entire year full of CBM (since after 2016, every year)
so 2016 will be special in the way that was our 1st year we had
so many multiple movies.
2016 we will see Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye,HYDRA Batman, Superman, Deadpool, The Xmen, Apocalypse, Dr. Strange plus his unknown villian, the entire Suicide Squad......
that year we will see if alot of CBM wont hurt the genre

although im predicting we will see quantitative and quality!
[frick]ing Marvel, its all you

I can't keep track with Sony. Is Venom still on? I thought it had been shelved and the studio was concentrating on Sinister Six omly. Or did it just lose it's date?
m0th3r
m0th3r - 10/28/2014, 10:17 PM
That's a proposed schedule. If the next Sony outing continues the downward trend then that will alter all of their proposed titles...if FF doesnt do well(based on fan reaction it not looking good) you can wipe that Sequel off there..and that might be were Gambit fits in. ALL of WB's title's are based on the idea that BvS does well..

With all these movies coming out, im worried about talent drying up at several levels. Lead actors/actresses and directors specificly...

The thing about comic book movies is that they aren't limited to any particular genre. And Marvel is smart by having characters who aren't 'traditional' superheroes as movie franchises. You have a cosmic team full of weird aliens, a sorcerer, a ruler of a foreign country, super-powered royal family, etc. This variation is not only helpful with the longevity of these properties, but can bring interest into genres that may have been previously thought as burnt out.

The only films I'm not excited for are:

-Big Hero 6
-Fantastic Four movies
-Spider-Man movies(with the exception of the female lead spin-off)
-Lego Batman(there was already a Lego Batman movie)
-Gambit(Gambit is my favorite X-Man, but Channing Tatum as Remy...)
-Sandman(not interested at all)
