We've known Dick Grayson's parents would be showing up in Gotham for quite a while now, and it looks like we have our first bit of casting news for the doomed duo. Rob Gorrie (One Life to Live, As the World Turns) is set to guest star in the upcoming sixteenth episode of the Fox drama series, "The Blind Fortune Teller", and ComicBook.com have confirmed that he will actually be playing John Grayson; father of the future Boy Wonder. Gorrie posted the following image to his Instagram account.

I gotta say, I've tried to care about this show and this TV universe they've created, but I just can't. It just looks like one big milking of the Batman cash cow

This show is the best one out of all the comic book shows out today. I will NEVER understand how the cheeseball crap like Flash, SHIELD and Arrow with all the typical CW comic relief sidekicks gets more praise than Gotham. I am convinced comic book fans have ZERO taste and are just flat out batshit insane.

I think this messes up the timeline a bit, but this show was never aiming for a cohesive universe anyhow. Can't wait to see this episode.

Never really left all the way. Been lurking. They blocked the word "comic" on the work Internet because of me.

I was able to watch a few episodes on my Christmas holidays...and it confirmed what I originally thought. It's not good. JadaFish is terrible.

And now, Gotham would like to present the audience a lesson on subtly. Please enjoy and learn, you might miss it

Did you see it?

I enjoy "Gotham" along with all the other CBTV shows (AoS kinda sucked the first season, but it has much improved). I like that "Gotham" mixes up it's style a bit. It's serious at times, but not as much as "Arrow". It's fun like "The Flash", but is not afraid to be a little tongue in cheek and "campy" once in awhile. And, it can get as dark and borderline violent as "Constantine" when it needs to. And, as far as loading up on it's "mythology", I see it as a kind of blueprint that's creating a city that will become a hundred times worse than the one when the series started. I believe this downward spiral (compounded by the murder of his parents) is what finally pushes Bruce Wayne to become this particular literation of The Dark Knight.

I really hope that the boy wonder is an infant or just a glimmer in his mother's eye. And not just a few years younger than bruce.

And i hope they come back around with the remaining second half of the season to focus back on the wayne's murder. They've introduce pretty much everyone they need for the next 3 seasons. Now just focus on the core stories and not on classic batman characters.

Let penguin finish off maloney so she can swim with the rest of the fishes, or just eat her.

Saying Gotham is just milking the BTman franchise is just like saying Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter are milking The Avengers franchise... Oh wait.

If the show just focused on the Gordon/Bullock/The GCPD/Dent, Penguin/Maroni/Falcone/The Mob, and Bruce/Alfred arcs, then it'd be so much better and really streamline the show. But the filler and constant references/set ups for future Batman villains that have no business being there (even Dent is a stretch although could work) and really do drag the show down.

I like Gotham, but I'd love it if they cut the crap and just focused on making it a damn good crime/drama series, with occasional insight into the growth of Bruce into the eventual Batman.

I like Gotham, but it's not my favorite show by any means. It works the best when watching right before Sleepy Hollow on a Monday night.
