We already knew that season 5 of HBO's Game Of Thrones would employ flashbacks for the first time, and since an actress has been cast as young Cersei, we had a pretty good idea what those flashbacks would entail. Now we're certain of it, as Jodhi May (Last of the Mohicans, Strike Back) has been bast as Maggy the Frog -- the hideous old witch that gives Cersei her troubling visions of the future. Since May is only 39 and far from hideous, we'll assume they plan on either transforming her with make-up, or going with a different look for Maggy altogether. Watchers On The Wall also report that Isabella Steinba will play Cersei's young friend (in the books she's named Melara Hetherspoon) who accompanies her on her visit to Maggy's hut. There's also a new trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release of season 4 featuring a song from Hozier, which you can see below.

Interesting decision to make the character beautiful. Unless they do the makeup and prosthetics.

I always hated this part of the story. Why can't Cercei just be a power hungry bitch? They had to go and invent some lame prophecy. Everything from aSoS on was lame.

Damn, this chick still looks good. I haven't see her in anything since Last of the Mohicans.

Wow, that's a name I haven't seen in a while.

Her character's fate in LAST OF THE MOHICANS has stuck with me all these years. And poor Uncas, her failed savior...

its all tied to mythology, george actually decided very little in his story other than how to interpret things metaphoricly or literally.
