FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

The Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch, Jamie Bell as The Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom. Directed by Josh Trank and written by Simon Kinberg, The Fantastic Four is set to be released on August 7th, 2015.

Generic Sci-fi Movie.

If the Thing wasn't in it, this would look like a sequel to I Am Number Four or Prometheus or... really just about any other generic sci-fi movie.

Also, numbers as letters is dumb. It's always been dumb. They need to stop doing this.

Damn, well i have to admit that i was wrong about The Fantastic Four reboot sucking. This trailer was actually pretty good, it has a serious tone mixed with science fiction.

The trailer has me interested in the Fantastic Four reboot. I just hope the movie is great.

On the plus side, it seems like they've really doubled down on the exploration bit. I always did like the FF more as explorers than as superheroes stopping this week's baddie.

Marvel has really succeeded in using a secondary genre to supplement or even supplant the "superhero" aspects of their films. Cap 1 was a period war movie, Cap 2 was a spy thriller, Ant-Man is a heist film, and so on.

If nothing else, Fox making the FF into primarily a sci fi space exploration film is smart.

It keeps them from falling into the Sony-Spider-Man / Nolan-Batman trap of just hitting the same "Hero saves the City from Bad Guy" story over and over again.

i really love the grey and blue dull filter! also the Thing is nice and dull and rock coloured now, instead of a vibrant yellow! it's about time we get to see some superhero costumes that are more realistic!

also, i'm thrilled we're getting another superhero film with something shooting up into the sky! it definitely hasnt run its [frick]ing course!

I'm pretty sure they were tearing the Trank/Kinberg interview apart. Can't imagine what they'd do to the trailer.

Kinberg said that there's an easter egg in the teaser if you pause it at the right time. I don't know what it is, but perhaps you all will have better luck finding it.
