GOTG's Chris Pratt Wanted For Disney's INDIANA JONES Reboot

We all thought he'd make a great replacement for Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones after his turn in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and now Deadline are reporting that it might just happen -- though they caution talks are "very early". Click on for more details...

According to Deadline, Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) is the man Disney want to fill Harrison Ford's fedora in their Indiana Jones reboot. The studio purchased the rights from Paramount back in 2013, and has apparently now "set its sights on Chris Pratt as the swashbuckling archaeologist they hope to build the new franchise around". There's no indication in the report as to whether Pratt has responded or an offer has been made, but Deadline themselves caution to take this as a "dishy informed rumor" for now. We first got word that Disney might be thinking about a reboot all the way back in March of last year, but this is the first we've heard since then. There is also some Twitter buzz around Pratt's GOTG cast-mate Bradley Cooper being looked at for the role, though Deadline make no mention of that. What do you guys think about this?

Seems like a perfect fit.

That said, I'm kinda hoping this reboot just doesn't happen - and Pratt gets to play his own sort of Indiana Jones in Jurassic World instead.

I would've wanted a more inspired/less obvious choice. I'm split on the topic, and would prefer someone else.

El mayiambe strikes again! Frank Marshall is 0-2 for "denying" his rumors. Bourne w/ Matt Damon-Greengrass and now Indiana Jones revival.

Pratt did pass on the Nathan Drake role, wonder if he's afraid of typecasting.

Frank Darabont's script was thrown out in favor of George Lucas' wack ideas. Hopefully he gets his version on screen now.

Funny. I thought he was gonna be te new Harrison Ford only with more humor. Now after a Han-solo esqe role in GOTG , he's courted to play Indy. I love it and am a huge fan of his.

If this is set between the films or is a prequel fine. If its a full reboot like the new ghostbusters then [frick] no.

Some franchises shouldn't be rebooted. Not sure how I feel about Pratt either
