Joker's new origin is [frick]ing scary.

It made feel like Batman is nothing.

Yeah never found anything wrong with the immortal Joker, because there will always be a Batman and what's Batman without a Joker?

Great. Selina and Barbara are gonna hang out. I can guarantee that those'll be the absolute worst scenes in the episode. BOTH of those characters are terrible, ESPECIALLY Barbara.

"as a man, i can be hurt, i can be killed, i can die..
but as a symbol... as an idea.. i can be... everlasting... immortal."

SAID THE JOKER OMFG!!!!

In before people complain about the Joker's new 'origin' (which has only been suggested within the book and is not 100%, Batman received the information from an insane scientist) without having read the comics---

whelp, too late!

What these morons who say it's "stupid" also don't take into account is actually how terrifying this makes The Joker. He's terrifying enough on his own, but you couple that with the fact that he will never die (if it's even true)? Even more sick and dark and scary. He will always keep coming.

It also gives Batman a new layer of torture. A part of him wants Joker to die. He prays that one day natural selection will do what he could never do. And truly then can Batman rest. Now he no longer has the option. It makes him realize that he can never die himself.

Joker always says that they are destined to do this forever. Well, now they truly are. Batman can never die so long as The Joker lives.

It's deep. It's layered. Actually look beyond your own nose, and do a little thought process before writing it off as being something stupid because it's not something that you're used to.

Come on, a real batman fan knows that this new joker origin is really stupid. The joker doesnt need a origin! We just need his madness and the duality with batman.

End of story

Where in the world does it say anything about this being the origin of the Joker? The Red Hood gang is just that, a gang. They dont need to mention him or have him in it at all.

About the New Comic books. Not about the TV Series :P

Well, I've been a "real" Batman fan for as long as I can remember. At 33, that's a decent chunk of time. And Joker HAS an origin, has always had one. Was Red Hood, dropped in acid. Remember all that? Didn't ruin the mystique until now for you, did it?

And I'm assuming you didn't actually READ the story, you're just chiming in with ignorant two-cents. 1) We don't know that it's actually true yet, and 2) we still don't have an actual origin. Just that he's possibly immortal, and has been around since before Gotham, and constantly lurking in the background like a boogeyman. That adds even more mystery to him.

End of story.

I hate that The Joker is going to be an immortal boogeyman, it sounds weird and bizarre. Sounds about as worse when Spider-Man made a deal with the devil.

Also that Red Hood Gang, would it have a young Joker?

...yet people said nothing of Joker having his face cut off.

Fanboys are ridiculously fickle.

@Blanka1212 @charlie2094
Because of that possible origin,Joker is NOT mysterious any more.He will be just like Ras Al Ghul,Solomon Grundy or Vandal Savage. And i don't think this origin is true, because Snyder showed as joker already in Batman Zero Year.He was Red Hood.

And what about joker having his face off? that was cool for me,that was another step in insanity of Joker, and he have a point why he did it.

MoodyMax
MoodyMax - 2/3/2015, 4:16 AM
Exactly @Doopie.

He's The Joker. He's a bullshitter. You don't know if what he says is true, or part of the "joke". The jokes that only he gets. And he's signed up through at least issue #50. The true travesty will be if both he AND Capullo leave.

Yeah, I'm not feeling the new Joker origin either....

One of the cool things about him is that he's always taking risks, he's this smart criminal that is absolutely insane and human, but he can [frick] with Batman....

Make him immortal and it kind of takes away from that....

At least his immortality only kicks in when he's about to die, at least he doesn't have super strength or anything....

I'm using the words "at least" about The Joker. [frick].

Do you know what bothered me about Zero Year? The fact that "Red Hood 1" was basically proto joker. What would have been more interesting is if the gang had no real leader, and the one that took the chemical bath was the unlucky guy who got caught up in all of this that we all know from The Killing Joke. That's kind of the vibe I want from this. No names, no real authority, just a bunch of crooks that rely on anonymity to remain secure.

Also regarding the new "origin", it's bs guys wait and see. And if it is true, way to kill all sense of mystery and tension,

The Joker's new origin makes sense anyway, considering DC would NEVER EVER KILL HIM off. Making him unkillable is incredibly smart, because they won't have to rely on a ton of bullshit convoluted excuses as to why he survived his newest demise.

You guys do realize the person who told Batman Joker's new origin is MUTHA[frick]ING CRAZY QUILT!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you guys seriously gonna believe Crazy Quilt? Let's also ask Paste Pot Pete about Venom while we're at it.
