UPDATE: Marvel Announces First All-Female AVENGERS Team - A-FORCE
We had a big announcement from DC earlier on, and now it's Marvel's turn. Just now on The View, the publisher announced plans for an all-female team of Avengers who will be known as the A-Force. Click on for a look at the massive roster of heroes...
Marvel has announced that an all-female superteam will spin out of their upcoming Secret Wars event. Featuring an extensive roster of characters led by She-Hulk, members will include the likes of Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru, Jean Grey, Vampira, Elektra, and a new "cosmically powered" hero named Singularity. A-Force will be co-written by G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and Marguerite Bennett (Angela), with art by Jorge Molina. “We've purposefully assembled a team composed of very different characters — from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies," Wilson said. "They'll all have to come together to answer some big questions: What would you sacrifice to succeed? What is being a hero worth?”
UPDATE: Here's a better look at new character, Singularity.
You can see for yourself how many great characters will be involved with this, and though A-Force isn't Marvel's first all-female team, it's definitely its biggest. What do you think?
