Fox Developing A TV Series Based On Giant Monster/Sci-Fi Comic ENORMOUS
Fox and New Regency Television are teaming with Prime Universe Films to develop a TV show based on the 215 Ink comic from Tim Daniel and Mehdi Cheggour, which tells the story of humankind struggling to survive in a futuristic world ravaged by giant beasts.
This sounds like something Godzilla fans should be excited about. Deadline report that a TV series based on Tim Daniel and Mehdi Cheggour's Enormous is in the works at Fox Television, with Andrew Poltkin of New Regency TV and Prime Universe’s Adrian Askarieh on board as Executive Producers. Enormous started out as a one-off graphic novella in 2012 before getting a comic series last year, and has actually already been developed as a live-action web film (see below) from Trollhunter's Andre Ovredal and directer Ben David Grabinski.
The story deals with humankind facing extinction after and ecological cataclysm "spawns colossal beasts unlike anything ever witnessed." The main character is Ellen Grace, who leads a search and rescue team through the monster-infested streets in an attempt to rescue some children. There she discovers that the real danger comes from, you guessed it, other humans.
