AMC has announced that the very first TV spot for the upcoming The Walking Dead companion series will air during this Sunday's 90-minute season finale, "Conquer". Here's a new image of Kim Dickins as guidance counsellor Nancy, and Cliff Curtis as divorced teacher Sean Cabrera. The show's first six-episode season is set to air sometime this Summer with a second expected to follow in 2016. Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey will also star, with Adam Davidson (Friday Night Lights, Fringe) directing the pilot.

You know what would be nice... a series where we actually have proper zombie hunters who realise that they need to actually hunt the zombies or they will end up being over-whelmed by them. In the main series they constantly get swarmed by zombies yet never realise 'maybe we need to go kill them so we can live happy lives'

Literally the only thing stopping them from living basically normal lives is the fact that they are dumb characters who dont actively hunt the zombies.

The first season of TWD was also 6 episodes, so.....

@Scarilian

The zombies number in the billions. I think the survivors figured out a long time ago that short of nuclear bombs, there is no energy-efficient way to kill all the walkers.

I like that it takes place in LA. It's about time we see some Mexican zombies. The show has alluded to them, but we've never actually seen them.

People should lower their expectations for the Season 5 finale. It's all soap opera shit, just like the comic is now. And the comic is as sad as Spawn these days.

All of the big stuff people are hoping for does not happen.

I'll def give this a watch. I'm interested in seeing the paranoia that surrounds a major city like LA and how the characters deal with that.

@thebad - I like your theory and it reminds me a little of the scene in 28 days later... Where Chris ecclestions army leader character has chained up a rage monster (zombie of sorts) to study and learn from it. Basically to find out exactly when they starve to death. I mean seriously?!? How much food is there out there for these zombies to eat? Aren't most people zombies now? If their food supply is next-to-non-existant (most ppl are dead already), then how are they still waddling around?

This also makes me think about the production designers making the zombies "older, more deteriorated" since they have been walking around for 8 months or so now... They are weaker and easier to kill. So why don't the characters just go hunt the weak walkers. Kinda like Sasha went outside the gates at Alexandria and started mowing down the pack of walkers, and also when the group was on the road earlier this season and they killed all those zombies at the bridge. That was a smart plan to not use much energy and still wreck a whole hord of walkers...

Still love the show but sometimes I think I would do things differently...

IMO, less is more when it comes to season episodes in TWD, as they'll have little to no room for filler and meaningless side-plots.

Maybe TWD should lend out some of their viewers to AOS.....they sure need it..and since Marvel is into borrowing characters from other studios, it should work...

@ElDarkside the argument would be that there are way more walkers than capable humans to hunt them. Plus the plotline now shows us that other people are mire of a threat than the actual walkers.
