Apparently Marvel Has Narrowed The New SPIDER-MAN Search To 5 Actors

Unfortunately we don't know which actors, but word is the studio has settled on a short-list of 5 names to vie for the chance of playing the Webhead in Captain America: Civil War. With that movie set to shoot very soon, surely an official announcement in near?

Ever since the announcement that Marvel and Sony would team up to bring Spider-Man home to the MCU, fans have anxiously awaited word on what actor would replace Andrew Garfield in the role. There were many rumors flying around of course, but recently we got confirmation that it would indeed be Pater Parker, and that the latest incarnation of the character would be a teenager. Well, we still don't have any names for you, but we do have the following Tweet from Collider's Steve Weintraub.

Spidey is widely expected to make his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War, and since that movie is set to shoot within the next week or so, many feel some kind of casting announcement must be right around the corner. Keep an eye on CBM for updates.

If I was Disney Marvel I'd have Spideys inevitable unmasking in the movie be the first time we see who is playing Parker. The fans would devolve into lord of the flies and create their own civil war over who they want to play the role. It's great marketing, and of course everyone would have to go see the movie to see who the picked.

I watched Ender's Game a few days ago. What a gigantic piece of shit. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Other than his small role in 42, Harrison Ford hasn't been in a good movie since The Fugitive.
