Common Joins The Cast Of David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD

Academy award winning rapper-turned actor Common (aka Lonnie Rashid Lynn) has joined the already huge cast of David Ayer's supervillian team-up flick, Suicide Squad, which has actually begun production already. No details on who he'll be playing, but click on to speculate away...

THR report that Common will join the likes of Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, and many others in Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad, which is currently shooting in Toronto, Canada. Who he'll be playing is being kept under wraps for now, but considering the massive roster of DC baddies already set to feature in the movie, is it possible Common has been cast in a heroic role? John Stewart is a possibility (Common was actually set to play this character in the defunct "Justice League Mortal"), but my guess would be another member of Task Force X... Bronze Tiger perhaps?

Chances are this won't stay secret for long so we'll be sure to update if we get any more information. Suicide Squad is set for an August 2016 release.

I doubt they would cast him as Green Lantern again but... who knows? More than likely he's got a cameo as Bronze Tiger or someone along those lines.

He has yet to stand out in any feature role and the lack of Hell on Wheels buzz doesn't really make me excited for this casting lol

@Jordanstine He drops movie scoops (not just comic book stuff) every day. He's like 95% hit/5% miss. Marvel is known to be fluid. Whatever goes one day might change the next when it comes to them.
