GONE GIRL's Tyler Perry Joins TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 As 'Baxter Stockman'
The latest cast addition to the David Green directed sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is Gone Girl actor Tyler Perry, who will play the cowardly scientist Baxter Stockman. Most versions of this character end up being mutated into a hideous fly creature!
Joining classic villains Bebop and Rocksteady in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel will be another fan-favourite character from TMNT canon, Baxter Stockman; and according to Variety he'll be played by none other than Tyler Perry. There have been several different incarnations of this sycophantic scientist over the years, but he's usually depicted as one of Shredder's lackeys and the man who creates the lethal Mouser robots. Oh, and there's also a good chance he'll become a mutant fly.
Perry, who was last seen as Ben Affleck's attorney in Gone Girl, joins Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and Stephen Amell in the sequel which Michael Bay is producing along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are penning the script. Production is set to start next month.
