First Look At Lupita Nyong'o's 'Maz Kanata' In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

We've seen plenty of behind-the-scenes snaps of Lupita Nyong'o performing as her mo-cap alien character and she's also briefly glimpsed in the trailer, but now some more leaked concept art provides our first proper look at the "space pirate" she'll be playing, Maz Kanata.

Thanks to Vanity Fair's recent coverage of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we finally learned that the true name (she'd been given the codename "Rose") of Lupita Nyong'o's character was Maz Kanata, and she was some kind of space pirate. The mag provided several BRS images of the 12 Years A Slave actress in her mo-cap getup, but now Indie Revolver has posted some new concept art which should give us a pretty good idea of how she'll actually look in the movie.

Thoughts? Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars Episode VII is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
