'Aquaman' & 'Wonder Woman' Concept Art From George Miller's JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL

We recently found out that a documentary about the Mad Max director's cancelled Justice League flick is in the works, and the Twitter account for said doc has released a couple of pieces of concept art. Find out how Wonder Woman and Aquaman could have looked in the movie after the jump...

Thanks to the Miller's JL Doco Twitter account, we have the following pieces of concept art from the defunct Justice league: Mortal movie. The first provides a look at Wonder Woman, seemingly flying up to catch a falling car, and the second gives us a detailed idea of how the King of Atlantis might have been depicted. Apparently these were not the final designs, and are only one possible look out of many they could have went with for the characters.

All going well, Ryan Unicomb will direct the documentary. Had Justice League: Mortal gone ahead, Megan Gale would have played Wonder Woman and Santiago Cabrera would have wielded the trident as Aquaman.

Even more so than Edgar Wright's version of Antman and Darren Aronofsky's Wolverine, THIS is the movie I want to see what it would look like the most. Even if it isn't very good.

Very good designs. I recognize (based on the leaked script) that this probably wouldn't have turned out well, but these concepts look great. Very interested to see the 'Flash' and 'Batman' designs.

Kind of wish this movie came out but at the same time we wouldn't be getting the awesome DCCU we are getting if this movie wasn't scraped

I read the leaked script. It drags a bit in certain places, and was often pretty melodramatic and preachy, but overall it was pretty good. I would have liked it to become a film.

Wonder Woman also looks very similar to Gal's design. Miller's WW has a skirt too.

Not bad, but I prefer Snyder's versions just based on what we've seen so far of both. These aren't final designs though and you can barely see Wonder Woman in that pic. Regardless, I'm interested in seeing a lot more from this project.

Maybe it's just me, but I'll take Aquaman with Samoan or culturally symbolic tattoos over a hideous soul patch. hahaha. (It could just be shading, but it looks like a flavor saver to me.)
And I like the tattoos more than the gills on his sides. Why gills on the sides of his torso?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't fish gills on what would their neck, to keep water from entering their respiratory system?

I like Momoa's hair better than the elf wig from Lord of the Rings.

Other than that I like both suits and they're actually very similar. The armor and scale design especially.

I do like how this version has an actual trident not a five-point trident. Five-point trident is contradictory because tri means three, but there are five points? (NERD!) hahaha. I did see somewhere that a fisherman calls his five-point trident the "fist of death." Which to me is a more badass and fitting name.

Hmmm. I like the Wonder Woman one. It's reminiscent of her 40's/50's look. The Aquaman one, I like the suit and crustacean she'll things and the dark green pants. Just not sold on the gills or Fabio haircut. I still would've been interested to see this.

Oh boy. Looks familiar! (Mamoa's Aquaman)

I wasn't a fan of the film's casting when it was in production and I'm glad it didn't happen.

In Snyder I trust.

I still have to see Mad Max. I really want to see it. Have heard only good things about it and if it's as artsy as people have claimed, then yes, I really hope Miller gives it another go with another DC property. Most likely Shazam or the rebooted Green Lantern or maybe even Aquaman!
