Corin Hardy's remake of The Crow has lost another leading man. According to Variety, Jack Huston has had to step away from the project because of scheduling conflicts. Huston (Boardwalk Empire, American Hustle) would have played the lead role of Eric Draven; a guitarist who is murdered along with his girlfriend, and is resurrected one year later to seek vengeance on their killers.
“Jack Huston is unfortunately unavailable to continue with us on The Crow,” Hardy said in a statement. “‘The Crow’ is an amazing project, and I am grateful that we have the time and patience to get it right. We look forward to unveiling our new lead and starting to film over the next several weeks.”
Apparently Relativity is already looking at Nicholas Hoult and Jack O’Connell, among others, as possible replacements. Earlier today we found out that Forest Whitaker was in talks to play Ernie Hudson's cop character from the original, and Andrea Riseborough will play the villainous Top Dollar.
