Haha, awesome

Hearing Michael Douglas talk seriously about characters like Ant-Man and Spider-Man never gets old

So hyped for Ant-Man

Can't [frick]ing wait for Spider-Man

It's pretty shocking how up to date Michael Douglas is with the other Marvel projects.

HMMMMMMMMM....

@Reasonnnn

Not sure, possibly though, especially if Lang will be Giant Man at some point

That's a good question though, I wonder when we'll see Pym again

Apparently Andrew Garfield might've been the one who had the biggest influence over the scene in TASM 2 with Spidey rescuing that little kid from the bullies...aka the absolute best scene in the entire movie. He obviously understood the character and recognized what makes him so great; he just got stuck with the 2 worst writers imaginable. Tom Holland has a LOT to live up to, in terms of getting what Peter Parker/Spidey is all about.

All that said, I'm still glad Garfield's gone.

I liked Penn's advice to be relatable and him saying Tobey did a fantastic job.

That's really the most important part about Spider-Man is being relatable. It's what the Raimi films were good at for the most part and why the Webb films sucked because Webb's Spidey wasn't relatable at all and had never [frick]ing learned from the consequences of his actions.

Apparently Marvel Comics has forgetting that about Spider-Man in turning Peter into [frick]ing Bruce Wayne and false advertising saying "All New, All Different" but still having Slott writing but that's a discussion for another day.

I won't lie

I never liked Garfield as Spider-Man or Parker

Emma Stone as Gwen was the best part of TASM franchise

Excited to see Holland's take on Parker/Spidey, I have faith

@SauronsBANE

I cringed at that scene. I don't know why it just felt so random and out of place. If they started the film with that, it would have been better.

It's even worse than the same [frick]ing kid just so happens to stand up to Rhino at the end right before Rhino kills Spider-Man.

TASM2 is still one of the worst films I've ever seen and always will be. It's not even a good movie to watch drunk like how Batman & Robin is a film better when you involve alcohol.

Yeah, Peña's advice was cool, and Dastmalchian gets me hyped, the guy is a true Marvel fan

Can't wait for Ant-Man!!

@KurtWagner1225 Apparently one of those scenes is a scene in CIVIL WAR?

@GliderMan Haha I'm trying to find the clip but it's nowhere to be found on YouTube. I don't even remember where it happened in the movie, but Spidey takes a time-out from all the other crap going on when he notices the little dorky kid getting bullied because of his science fair project. When Spidey swings in and saves the kid, he bonds with him over their love of science and walks him home. It's perfect.

@LEVITIKUZ Oh, it's TOTALLY out of place in the context of the movie, simply because it's one of the only scenes that actually gets the character. It's the golden nose ring on the pig that is TASM 2. Bringing the kid back for the ending could've worked, I guess, but it was so melodramatic and I was so soured by the rest of the movie that I just couldn't care less about it. I was too busy wondering why the NYPD was letting all those bystanders just wander around and watch the brawl.

@SauronsBANE

Don't get me [frick]ing stated about the NYPD in the film. I mean for God's sake the police department must have went to shit after Stacy's death. They are more incompetent than Gotham's police. For God's sake every cop car has a camera and audio built in and a tracker to locate the car. We had a cop who saw Gwen with Spidey working together. Then Gwen [frick]ing steals a cop car which is beyond retarded and we have the cop car right in front of the conversation between Harry and Spidey where Harry calls Spidey Peter. There is no [frick]ing way the NYPD wouldn't be able to know Peter is Spidey in connecting who Harry knows named Peter and who Gwen knows named Peter.

I could write an editorial destroying this film. Only problem is that it would be as long as as book. Seriously I had a 30 page Word document on the problems I had for the film. AOU was 17 in comparison.

Just a godawful film. Best part is that in the end, I was right. TASM2 would be shit, TASM would be canceled, and Marvel would get Spidey back.

Now all that remains is Hellboy 3 being confirmed.

That's really cool! :)

I wasn't a big fan of Garfield as Peter, my favourite thing in the movies by far was Emma Stone as Gwen. Still I was kind of sad about how his take on the character came to an end, especially after rewatching earlier videos about him talking about the role - he was genuinely excited about being Spider-Man. :(

But yeah, I guess we have to take "death by Rhino" as the conclusion of the TASM series and look forward to what Holland does with the role. Spidey is just about my least anticipated MCU project, but the kid seems okay and I hope everything will work out great!

@LEVITIKUZ Lmao! I'm pretty sure that, as a New Yorker, I was personally insulted by how they depicted the NYPD and everyday civilians in and around NYC. The level of incompetence in that aspect was mind-boggling. At least Raimi knew enough to have New Yorkers throwing trash at Goblin in his movie.
