In “Star Wars Rebels” Season Two, past lives will be revealed and the destiny of our heroes will be changed forever. The transformative new season resumes with Imperial oppression on Lothal growing stronger and the rebels seeking out new allies and additional resources to sustain their fight against the evil Empire. With the help of Ahsoka Tano, the crew of the Ghost enlists some old friends: ex-clone troopers who fought in the Clone Wars. As the rebels grow in number, so do their enemies. New Inquisitors are dispatched by Darth Vader and sent to crush any threat of rebellion. Through dangerous rescue missions, thrilling space chases, and spectacular lightsaber duels – the bond of our rebel crew will be put to the test like never before.

The first two episodes of Star Wars Rebels season two will première at New York Comic Con, which will be held Oct. 8-11 in New York City. The show then officially returns to Disney XD on October 14.

Haven't been watching this - so did The Clone Wars stay canon following Disney's Lore purge? Is this directly a continuation of that series?

Yeah pretty much. They're introducing more characters from Clone Wars this season. It's a pretty good show but not great....yet.

Rebels is a good show. Enjoyable. Could stand to be a little better but it's also a kids show. I think they do a good job of servicing the various fan bases.

Wasn't Siege Of Lothal more like a TV movie linking the seasons?

@Nickk The Clone Wars was cancelled because the broadcasting rights were in the hands of Warner Television, so either keep giving money to Warner or ask the same people to make a new Star Wars show for Disney.

This show is a perfect example on how I feel about Disney. They own the Star Wars rights now which is great because George Lucas was sitting on a gold mine for like 40 years and only 6 movies were done. Now we’ll see 1 every year or two max.
They also own Marvel. We’ll be seeing more Marvel movies too. But this is what I hate. Why the f^&K are their movies and tv shows always expensive to buy. And they hardly drop in price.
Go on amazon.com
Season 1 rebels. 32.99. shouldn’t more than 25.00
Guardians of the galaxy 21.78.
Avengers AoU 24.91
Look at WB films.
Man of steel 13.00
Dark knight rises 12.95
Mad Max 19.99
I hate that. Like they already made a billion dollars on AoU. LOWER THE PRICE!!

@DrDoom
Marvel animation is run by "Man of Action" while Rebels is fronted by Greg Weisman. The man behind "Gargoyles", "Spectacular Spider-Man" and "Young Justice"

@CaptainPinkEye
Marvel DVD/Blu-Ray movies stay expensive because they are more in demand. MoS and DKR were geared towards older audiences and don't necessarily offer the same "re-watchability" that the (some would say) more fun and family friendly Marvel movies do.

Also, @PCaptainPinkEye MoS (2013) and DKR (2012) are older titles. AoU isn't even officially released and GoT is barely a year out of theaters.
