HARRY POTTER's Freddie Stroma Joins GAME OF THRONES Season 6 As 'Dickon Tarly'
We'd heard we might be meeting Samwell Tarly's family in Game Of Thrones season 6, and this obviously confirms it. Though he only gets a brief mention in the books, Freddie Stroma will play Sam's younger, and far more capable brother Dickon. More past the jump...
Dickon - you just know that name is going to be well suited! According to EW, Freddie Stroma (best known for his role on Lifetime’s acclaimed dramedy UnREAL) will be playing Sam Tarly's little brother in season 6 of HBO's Game Of Thrones.
All we know of this guy comes from what Sam tells Jon in George R.R. Martin's source novels: he's more physically capable, and was favored by their pretty awful sounding father Lord Randyll Tarly - who we will no doubt be meeting next year along with Dickon. Tarly Sr. went so far as to threaten Sam's life if he didn't join the Night's Watch and allow his younger brother to become the heir... so it's a safe bet there'll be a bit of tension when they all meet again.
You can see Stroma next in Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, and Game Of Thrones returns next Spring.
