Revenge of the Sith? Maybe but no. Only good prequel.

Attack of the Clones? Hell to the no.

Revenge of the Sith isn't anywhere near Empire Strikes Back. They're on two separate playing fields. Granted, Sith is the best of the prequel trilogy (by far) but that isn't saying much... And Attack of the Clones is just an insult to the Star Wars name.

Doopie should probably keep contact with that person to a minimal... :P

I liked Phantom Menace because it was my first Star Wars movie (I was 4 at the time) and it holds nostalgia for me. Shit movie, though.

Attack of the Clones is just garbage.

Revenge of the Sith was.....the shiniest turd in a pile of shit.

Let's see, the prequels are the worst movies of Star Wars you can expect, the plot is stupid, but the general idea about every single movie was ok, the story of how Anakin became a Sith and lost his way is ok could have been even a beautiful story to tell.

But George Lucas was there and he never knew what the hell he was doing, he try to put a explanation and development to a lot of things of the original movies and fail, oh hell he fail really hard.

But the concepts he through the movies always tried to pull off were great.

And if you see A New Hope, again, you will see the movie is save because Lucas give himself years to develop a good script, because is the first in his kind and every moment the movie look amateur, cheap and strange, the structure of the script and the effects save the day.

Nothing of this happen in the 3 prequels.

Ep. 1 should have made Anakin older, fleshed out Darth Maul (and keep him alive), actually find a main character (should have been Obi-Wan), and tried to become more relevant to the later films (because when you look at it, aside from introducing us to some main characters, the films really did jack shit to connect to the latter two films). They could have done done something as simple as starting the clone initiative in this film instead of waiting until Ep. 2. It's dumb story issues like those listed above that should have been fixed that would have been a helluva lot been than what we got (stuff like the script, acting, direction, and execution still would have needed to be fixed, of course).

Ep. 2 just missed the mark completely. From a film point of view, it's god awful. From a Star Wars point of view, you're going to talk about how large and great the clone wars were but then not show it, only the start of the clone wars? Screw that, Ep. 2 should have been heavily focused on the SW and fleshing out the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan during the clone wars. The whole film needs to be scrapped, a couple fixes like Ep. 1 won't work.

Ep. 3's intentions were perfect and there were some beautiful scenes and pieces of dialogue. That was the prequel film we wanted to see. Almost all of the faults from Ep. 3 come from just poor execution, imo.

The biggest issue with the prequels has to do with WHEN they were released. All of the Star Wars films have the same flaws they were just new and more acceptable a few decades ago.

This will be awesome. Don't have to worry about it... but man. I just re-watched the Apoc teaser teaser and I seriously can't wait for it. As long as it has a BIG Apocalypse within the movie it'll best CBM for 2016.

Finn's blaster looks bulky & poorly designed. As if it's from a cheesy B-movie. Not cool at all.
Also the new lightsaber is annoying,until I see it used in action..it's a fail.
High hopes for this movie but it seems it's designs of costumes & gear are pale imitations of what's come before.

@Doopie,

I got into SW around the time AOTC came out, so for me, all the films are just SW to me, there's no bias based in nostalgia. Despite the zeitgeist the franchise has in pop culture, all the films, even the almighty "Empire", have their flaws.

@j2cool2,

I think that's what it is in a nutshell. Really, the two best films from either trilogy (as far as fans are concerned), "Revenge" & "Empire", are quite similar in some ways, both in their flaws, as well as in their strengths. But timing is everything, and the OT hit in a big way. Anything that followed it, Prequel or Sequel, is/was subject to criticism from a group/generation that latched on to what came out the door first.
