LEGO BATMAN Casts Ralph Fiennes As 'Alfred'

Will Arnett's LEGO Caped Crusader has found his Alfred in the form of Ralph Feinnes (SPECTRE, The Grand Budapest Hotel, the Harry Potter movies), who will provide the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman's loyal butler in Chris McKay's LEGO Movie spin-off. More past the jump...

The LEGO Batman movie has added another big name to its voice-cast, as THR reports that the great Ralph Feinnes - who can currently be seen as M in SPECTRE - will join Will Arnett (Batman), Michael Cera (Robin) and Rosario Dawson (Batgirl) as loyal-to-the-end butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Zach Galifianakis is apparently still only in negotiations to play the Joker, so that may not be set in stone

Feinnes' only other voice-work was back in 2005's Wallace & Gromi: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Chris McKay will direct LEGO Batman, which has a script by author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith, and is set to hit theaters February 10, 2017.

Gus, he should've won one for Schindler's List. Instead Tommy Lee Jones won for The Fugitive, which is just ridiculous in hindsight.

Oh that is fvcking-well spot on, that is. Inspired casting.

In fact, this whole movie has been cast really well. Everyone is awesome!

Except for Zach Galifianakis. I think I might dislike him, quite a bit, to be honest.

But everyone else and everything else is indeed awesome.

Still waiting for that day when they announce that they have secured each and every cinematic Bat-actor from Adam West to Ben Affleck. That would truly be a mighty day.

Oh, the irony. I am redoing the show Gotham (plotting episodes, recasting and just completely revamping it as if the current incarnation isn't real) and I've cast Alfred as Joseph Fiennes
