First Look At Isaac Hempstead-Wright As The Returning 'Bran Stark' In GAME OF THRONES

Season 5 of HBO's hit fantasy drama series saw Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) take a little hiatus to continue his training with the Three-Eyed Raven, but he's back next year; older, taller, with a new haircut and presumably a lot more power. See an official still after the jump...

EW's first looks continue with this official image from the sixth season of HBO's Game Of Thrones. Last time we saw Brandon Stark was in the season 4 finale as he was settling in to learn the ways of the Warg from the Three-Eyed Raven (who'll be played by Max von Sydow next year), but he's set to return with a vengeance.

We've caught up with George R.R. Martin's source novels at this point, so exactly what role Bran will play next season remains a mystery - but it's a safe bet he'll be using his powers to aid what remains of his family. Game Of Thrones returns in April.

One thing I'm tired of hearing about regarding this show (which I love and is one of my all time favorites, just want to make that clear) is that the show has caught up to the source material...it hasn't, so to speak. Yes, we did see many of the end results from the first 5 books, but we never did see the entire events of the fourth book A Feast for Crows regarding the whole Greyjoy storyline. So to say they're caught up is false, but seems like they're righting that ship next season with casting calls for some of the Greyjoys, like Victarion and Eulon Greyjoy. Hopefully most of next season will be about the events of the fourth book and give it time for the sixth book to come out and not ruin that book. And to say they're caught is when they're doing all of Bran's story from the fifth book about his training is going to be in next season as well. So please stop saying they're all caught up...
