Transformers Audio Interview: Shia LaBeouf, Pt. 1 Transformers Audio Interview: Shia LaBeouf, Pt. 1

In the first of a two-part exclusive audio interview, Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf discusses the challenges he's faced in coping with success and what it's done to his sense of mortality.

Shia 01
Life amongst the blockbusters isn't nearly as easy as it looks, and it has a tendency to take its toll. Just ask Shia LaBeouf, who started in the cable TV series Even Stevens and has graduated to, among others, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Eagle Eye and, of course, the pair of Transformer films directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reaching theatres shortly, Media Geek's Edward Gross spoke with Shia in a two-part audio interview. While part two, which will post tomorrow, talks more about Transformers itself, the first part deals more with the "challenges" the actor has faced in his personal life as a result of his movie success. It's a refreshingly frank interview.

Yeah he sounds like a guy you could become friends with and hang out and have a beer.

Work is work and you do what your client asks of you in the best ability that you can.

But as far as his problems go. No body holds a gun to your head and says we are gonna drink until we pass out.
No body says you are invincible do it do it?
Excuses Excuses

Other than that seems like a cool guy

In my opinion, Shia Labeouf has a tough life, hes only 22 and already he's done so much, starting out in the tv show "Even Stevens". THen doing movies lie straight after, Holes, Eagle Eye,Transformers 1 and 2, having a part in Dumb and Dumberer. Thats really saying alot. In the interview he says he hasnt digested a movie that he's done because he's also on the shot of something different after he's done with 1 movie. He's just a normal 22 year old guy, hes very humble and gracious for everything that has happened up to this point and he deserves it. He;s not one of those snob or stuck up other celebrities, hes just doin his own thing and thats what makes him.

He seems like a smart guy and is trying to keep his head on straight. However, I wont go as far as saying he's had a tough life. A kid that is forced to live on the street or someone in an undeveloped country has had a tough life, not this guy. Alcohol has been the downfall of many many many people, including celebrities. Im not going to take the "holier than though" position on drinking but it is one of the fastest ways to mess your life up "legally". All in all he seems like a nice guy and I hope he continues to be successful.

Wow , Shia's point was right. Out of all of the positive things said about Shia on these post, I JUST HAVE TO CALL OUT THE ONE NEGATIVE DUDE "G.R.I.F." Generally Rude and Ignorant F@!#. I know you're broke, unhappy and miserable. Maybe you can call up some agents, pretend that you have talent and maybe get lucky enough to get hung up on. I realize that you probably listened to his interview 20 times while masturbating and this is probably your strongest attempt to get his attention. As far as Shia's life, before you comment on it you should know a little bit about it. But then that would involve using logic..so nevermind, I'll enlighten you. He had a really hard childhood growing up and was one of the kids on the street along with his family, moving place to place and selling snow-cones at carnivals for money. He took initiative, made some calls and met a wonderful agent named Teresa who in turn changed his life and the life of his entire family forever. As far as acting ability, I have 2 words..STEVEN SPIELBERG. Ok that's it. If Mr.Spielberg, a deity in the film industry, wants to work with Shia continuously then he has acting ability and if he doesn't and he's fooling all of the people who's casting him in the numerous projects on Imdb, then that's still acting ability because he's acting well enough to carry movies with a $3 BILLION dollar gross. Now as far as the stuff that's in the media, I know Shia is your hero Grif, but I don't mean to burst your proverbial bubble or ruin your wet dream but guess what? HE'S HUMAN, he's 23 and just like your parents did when they created you he makes mistakes. He has learned from them and he'll make more and learn from those too. As we all do. So there you have it in a nutshell. Grif do us all a favor, don't procreate!
