According to GreenArrowTV, actor David Nykl (Stargate) will be portraying Anatoli Knyazev in S02E04 "Crucible" and S02E06 "Keep Your Enemies Closer". If the name Knyzzev doesn't ring a bell then you may recognize his alter ego moniker, 'The KGBeast'. No word on whether we're being introduced to just Knyazev or whether we're getting a full on KGBeast right off the bat. You'll have to tune in next Wednesday at 8PM to find out.

Over at The Huffington Post, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke about a number of topics including Black Canary (Caity Lotz) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) soon coming face-to-face.
Kreisberg: "[Laurel and the Canary] come face-to-face sooner than people realize. We have a really great story arc for the Black Canary and Laurel that we’re super excited for people to jump on board that ride, because it’s really just the beginning.

He also teased Roy possibly learning Arrow's secret identity at some point later in the season.
Kreisberg: "If you notice in their scenes together, Roy with the Arrow, they're so far apart, and as the episodes go, they get a little closer. So towards the middle of the season, they could have a little conflict there. Their 'arrangement' [Roy is Arrow's street informant] is going to come to a head fairly soon. We’re never shy about burning through story, and Roy makes a good man on the street for a while, but you’ll see in Episodes Eight and Nine, their relationship comes to a head in a surprising, exciting way.

Stephen Amell spoke with E! about the debut of Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) which is drawing ever closer.
Amell: "It's great because he's a fan of the vigilante, and he gets to ask a lot of questions, that I know for a fact because I see it on Facebook and Twitter, that the audience would like to ask. You know, he has theories about how the vigilante was trained, and he's speaking for/as a fanboy—he's speaking for a lot of the fans of the show.

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

I love this show that being said how is it that officer lance can't figure out that queen is arrow? I mean he knows his assistant works with him and after last nights episode he sees his body guard working with him too. How has he not made this connection? Again love the show just don't like putting him that close and not being smart enough to put it together.

@ monkeyballs yeah this was one of the first arcs I remember reading too. It was awesome! Aparo wasn't my favourite artist at the time (Breyfogle was although I think he was a bit later) but the story won me over. It was cool seeing Batman in an international setting.

With all these Batman rouges showing in Star city you think they would add Nightwing or Red Robin to the mix.I don't want Batman to show up cause that would take away the focus from Green Arrow.

Love KGBeast. Great run with Batman and him for 2-3 books in the early 90's.

I wonder if by using some of these characters that are more associated with Batman, that this is a way to connect the DC tv universe with the DC movie universe. Much like Agents of Shield and the Avengers movie?

I guess if we see a Birds of Prey with Babs as Oracle we'll have our answer.

DAmn!!! KGBeast! totally forgot he existed. He's been absent from comics forever.

Don't like arrow (cuz it's a retarded smallville wannabe show) but I hope they do the KGBeast some justice.
