Sixth And Final Season Of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS To Stream On Netflix This March

Netflix will stream the sixth and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars starting March 7. As per the usual Netflix policy, all 13 episodes will be available on that date. While we wait, watch a clip featuring Yoda.

That's right, Star Wars: The Clone Wars finally has an official release date for the sixth and final season. The confirmation comes from USA Today, who also have a clip from season 6 featuring Yoda. The season will follow the storyline of Ahsoka's exit from the Jedi Order and the looming showdown with Sith forces. Qui-Gon Jinn will make a cameo, voice by Liam Neeson. Yoda will reportedly feature prominently as well, and the series will attempt to address the nagging issue from the films of why certain Jedi faded away when they died and others did not.

Well, I guess I'm finally subscribing to Netflix. Although, I'm pretty sure a Clone Wars Saga boxset with the final season will be released in the fall, so maybe I wait then?

That's neat. I must have misinterpreted a previous news story where I thought they had said the final episodes were going to be converted into a comic book and not actually produced as episodes. Good for Clone Wars fans. Huzzah!

@loum410 it gets better, and darker, as it goes along. A few hiccups along the way but its action scenes are great. Ahsoka becomes one of the best star wars characters, cant wait to see these eps

@loki LMAO! Wearing socks with sandals on is the opposite of an aphrodisiac.

Same with jean shorts, mesh shirts, scarfs(when it's warm out), tightie whities, sexually suggestive shirts, Hawaiian shirts(under 50), preppy clothes, and wearing a speedo or "man thong" on the beach.

Congrats to Lucas and Co for opening up a Trilogy wide plot hole with a 20 second clip.

Force Ghosts can move things now?! BALDERDASH I SAY!!

Why didn't Obi Wan's force ghost help Luke at any point in time during EPIV - breaking the ice in the cave on Hoth for example, maybe I don't know, help play goalie when Vader's flinging kitchen appliances at Luke...

I just feel like this show just kind of throws shit against the wall and whatever sticks gets animated.

Definitely has it's good points, but it's bad points are so cringe-inducing it's almost overwhelming.

The fact that Yoda, a 750+ yr old Jedi Grand Master, apparently knows absolutely NOTHING about the Living Force is kinda hard to swallow.

I feel like this is gonna be the "Blame Yoda" season where he begins to doubt his leadership and decisions as head of the Jedi which is, to me, a total waste.

I always felt that Clone Wars was a good way to explore and expand upon cool movie background characters - you know, those extras that were so visually appealing they decided to actually give them names and backgrounds - but it turned into the Ahsoka Show ft. the rest of the Galaxy, which is again, to me a waste of potential.

I'd much rather see a 1-2 episode scheme concentrating on one particular "background" character or team - Quinlan Vos and/or Aayla Secura.

I'd find an episode of Mace and Skywalker having to track down Quin or Sora for their use of Vaapaad than have to suffer through another second of Ziro the Hutt...

And speaking of Ziro, why can he...she(???) speak perfect basic while Jabba refuses...

As a useless marketing machine The Clone Wars has worked perfectly, but as a bridge or support for in-U continuity, I think it creates more questions than it answers.

And thus ends my rant.

@HachibiMC There is no plot hole. Force Ghosts have incredible power but they can't interfere with the natural order of the universe. So yeah, they can move things around and Obi-Wan can tell Luke to go to Dagobah but he can't force him to go. He can tell Luke not to face Vader but he can't stop him. It's a matter of choosing your own path. Luke has to decide his own destiny and stopping that would go against the will of the Force. It's actually part of Jedi training. Yoda can see the future but he doesn't try to change it. Palpatine though can also see the future and uses that knowledge to manipulate events and change the future to suit his desires. That ties into the whole "balance" question. It isn't balance between light and dark, it's a balance between natural and unnatural.

*@Vadakin*

*Force Ghosts have incredible power but they can't interfere with the natural order of the universe. So yeah, they can move things around*

This is an assumption on your part. We've never seen a Force Ghost move an object before this clip. Also, until Lucas gives the yay/nay on whether EU is going to be considered Canon you can't use that. And even then, the closest I've seen is when Luke's spirit takes over Jacen to protect him from Exar Kun and Luke wasn't fully dead - in like a Force Limbo.

*Obi-Wan can tell Luke to go to Dagobah but he can't force him to go. He can tell Luke not to face Vader but he can't stop him. It's a matter of choosing your own path. Luke has to decide his own destiny and stopping that would go against the will of the Force.*

100% Agree, too bad none of this has anything to do with a Force Ghost lifting my frigging couch. An ability NEVER shown in any Star Wars media format.

*Yoda can see the future but he doesn't try to change it. Palpatine though can also see the future and uses that knowledge to manipulate events and change the future to suit his desires. That ties into the whole "balance" question. It isn't balance between light and dark, it's a balance between natural and unnatural.*

Again, what are you saying here? I agree Yoda can peer into SOME possible futures, as he says "they're always in motion." My issue isn't with the manipulation or lackthereof of the Force. My question is why in his probably close to 700 years of Jedi training is he so in the dark about the possibility that Qui Gon could and did become one with the Force?

He just said that it was impossible that the voice he heard was Qui Gon's because Qui Gon was dead, leading me to believe that either Yoda didn't know about the process, was in denial that it would actually work, or didn't know Qui Gon was experiementing with it. Either one of those sound very implausible, though it does explain the whole "I have to go to Dagobah to learn a technique from an old friend" line in ROTS.

This is why I think they're setting up this final season as a way to highlight Yoda's personal shortcomings as leader of the Jedi, but it still doesn't HELP continuity, IMO.

I thougth the whole purpose of Clone Wars was to fill in the blanks, not create more. Just more shit sticking to the wall
